So, recently I was considering a dilemma about my YouTube channel. Many people who drop in to us smaller channels on twitch or YouTube are looking for something quick to watch, and to not have to have any backstory. Now, I don't mean just a story world or whatever, but when most people drop into a stream or a channel very quickly to see if they like what they see, they don't want to stick around that long if the person is mining for materials for a half an hour.
So I wanted to see what y'all think. There are pros and cons to both playing minigames and playing survival.
Survival gets people, once they like what they see, to stick around and keep coming back. However, it is difficult to get people to do so.
Minigames gets people to drop in and view your channel, and can quickly find out if you are the type of person they want to watch, instead of watching a grindy process (Because we all know Minecraft can get that way) However, there is no obligation to come back and see more.
I am by no means a larger or even respectably growing YouTuber. Before you say it, yes, I'm one of those guys with about....5 subscribers. Why not? I enjoy doing it, and I want to make the best content possible, and I'd appreciate your help deciding how I should format my time.
