And whether it was consumer pressure or not, I've already (hopefully) established why p2w is unethical, which is why p2w servers should be taken down.
But then you're just taking the fun away from many people without giving thought. I don't mind myself but thousandths of others do. They'll just not be allowed to put anything up that costs real money.
Now, I remember there used to be a thread on th, where someone reported a few servers breaking the EULA, but it was never finished due to it getting deleted. Although, I do hate servers that do this kind of stuff because, even though I have the cash to buy like 100$ ranks, I don't because it takes away the fun of playing the game. I think UberMC breaks the EULA too btw, but don't count on it.

You don't think there is a reason for these server are still being up? Mojang knowns that they exsist, it's just that they don't really care untill something major is going down like last time.
I don't need any proof this is a fact, if you want you can look it up then you'll have you're proof.
I disagree that servers should be restricted from pay-to-win "donations".
While it does make the game unfair, the players always have the option to play somewhere else.
If Mojang and the MC Forums don't care, and you have the option to simply avoid pay-to-win servers, then what is there to complain about?
Same. I really think servers should be able to sell whatever they want. But I am still against it. Because it is against the EULA and therefor against the law.

How do you know Mojang knows these exist?
And besides, the burden of proof has traditionally rested on the "Pro" side of a debate. I have no intention or interest of looking this up.
My point stands, p2w in unethical, and many servers rely on personal funds to run, not money from ranks.
In addition, what demographic can not afford to run servers out of pocket?
That's right. Teenagers and kiddies. The ones we'd like to keep server ownership away from, in general, in an effort to increase the aggregate quality of servers, if you will.

With kids/teens you might have 10 good servers and 10 bad servers. Without kids/teens you would just have 10 good servers.
Is sifting through the other 10 so hard that you would wish away the ability for that demographic to have servers? Some serious first world problems here.

That's like saying "toast is a pretty good food. Butter does make it taste better, but must you be so greedy and privleged to want it? Just eat the toast."

Besides, on a deeper level, if you're willing to think: it's better for these people to be part of great, thriving communities than manage their own petty ones. More net happiness.
I know that servers run on a player based income source and, what will happend if that source just suddenly stops? do you even think half of the server that dependent on that source will keep up? No that means that you will have a hard time finding server to play on with your friends. so just leave them be and stop this madness. It is still the players decision to pay or not. If you don't like that system, no one is forcing you to stay on that server; and I bet you can find another server without that system.

As I've stated before, something about a server might catch a player's eye. Whether it's gamemode or building style, something attracts the player. Calling for everyone to boycott EULA-breaking servers, is, to be blunt, unrealistic and idiotic.

True. Unless if you're Bill Gates, where on earth are you gonna get the money? Simply, your own money, right? But you still need to: Buy the server, get the plugins, advertising etc. And what about maintaining it? This is impossible to those who had little funds (ie:Low society rank).
Remember: Building it is easy, but maintaining it, is hard. Just like a cat, if somebody give you the cat, are you gonna feed the cat? And supply it with water? Same here. If you're gonna hit up IBM or Dell or whatever it is, are you going to pay for the maintenance? What happens if it breaks down? If it's a good server with a lot of people coming in, are you going to update the drivers and the core? Small servers can't cope with the large amount of packets (players). Consider this before getting one.

So, you are asking for an DDOS attack, or a direct remote shutdown?
Were is your proof for this?

I would like to see a server that simply costs money to join. Would join right away.
The EULA is defunct.
I have reported many large servers that blatantly ignore the contract and sell item kits, ranks with commands, ability to fly, simulated capes...
Nothing has ever been done about it, and nothing will ever be done. Go about your day and try to avoid these servers.

Are you suggesting that they don't?

Yes. There are hundreds, if not thousands of these servers. I'm sure Mojang has pinned down a few, but most go by unnoticed/unreported.
Edit: I swear to God, I've had to fix 3 posts in this thread for grammar/spelling errors. Who cursed this thread?
