Are you excited for Minecraft: Story Mode? All I can say is that I don't like change or at least this change. It's a bit annoying that we don't have the whole freedom of Minecraft, we just have a bunch of choices that are made by Telltale. You know what I mean right? Like the Telltale version of The Walking Dead. Or the Wolf Among Us. In those games, we just have a variety of choices and then we pick one. I mean, we have freedom but we don't have the freedom of making our own choices. We only can pick our choices.
Now you're probably thinking that I can't assume these things about the game because they haven't released a bunch of information yet. But I have experience with other Telltale games. I have enough proof to assume these things. But what can I say? I haven't tried the game so these reasons are invalid.
What do you think fellow forum community?
P.S. Just to clarify I have nothing against Telltale or the games it made.
Well it is going to be the equivalent of a campaign mode for any other game. Campaigns are all rigged but normally with many less choices than what Telltale provides for their games. Of course we will still have regular Minecraft where we can do what we want. This will be a separate mode. I think bringing Telltale on board to make a story mode for Minecraft was an excellent move. Though I personally don't like the style of their previous games, all dark and gloomy, I do think they are the best story tellers in the game industry and deserve the right to be able to tell a story about Minecraft.
If you like having the whole freedom of Minecraft, then play Minecraft. No one is forcing you to play the Story Mode.
If it's a point-and-click game I won't buy, but if it's actually a first-person RPG/adventure game sort of thing I might get it, unless it's like $60 *cough all AAA games*
Yes you are most likely correct. This will probably be a separate game though I doubt it will cost $60. Previous Telltale games never cost that much since they were set up in a sort of DLC chapter form.
I have something to clarify before someone says it. Again, I have nothing against Telltale. But if everyone buys Story Mode, well, peer pressure am I right? I am just stating my opinion and I want to see yours.
I don't purchase games due to peer pressure. I might try them if they are hyped but I only purchase game that I actually find I might like. I have no idea if I will like this game and I doubt I will be purchasing it for a while.
DLC chapters? I despise DLC in any and all forms. If I buy a game, I expect to recieve the whole game, not a snippet and the expectation I'll be paying more later. I was interested until I found out that's what this would be, but now, no thanks.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. I will face my fear. I will let it pass over me and through me, and when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Build Planes, Boats, Cars, Airships and fight!
I think it's not even going to be a mode. It's going to be a new game.
I'm curious to see how it turns out.
I like mooshrooms.

I'm a bit interested but will probably stay with vanilla, because they might charge alot for it but who knows!
