After playing this game for 4 years now, it's hard to stay motivated to build. I watch youtube, and just feel like I have to mimic their style rather than come up with my own, which kind of sucks because it drains all my creativity. Anyone else feel this, or is it just me?
Well you could use resource packs to make blocks look different and have a different style, so you can build with a different style. You could also try building games with command blocks and redstone to make it more fun?
This may sound a bit extreme, but try modding your minecraft version. There are many mods out there that add more blocks, more game mechanics, more mobs, and more content in general. It is actually quite easy to get lost in the variety of stuff if there are a lot of mods running.
Yeah I would have to agree with the others. Play a different game or try something like mods or other types of stuff you haven't tried in Minecraft. I get a bit bored with minecraft sometimes so I take a break playing a shooting game or something.

Some suggestions here are really good, but the best suggestion is honestly take a break. Doing any task / activity for extended periods of time will cause a "burning out" effect and will end up with you becoming bored of the task, the only real way is to take a break from it for a while. Play a different game, or go outside, or watch Youtube for a bit.
To refresh the experience you could also try installing a couple mods. Nowadays mods are fairly simple to install and can be uninstalled with relative ease, so it's not like you have any downsides to modding. Just remember to back up your worlds in case something happens, it's probably best to start an entirely new world as terrain generation in mods only works on non-generated chunks (parts of the world you haven't explored). Or you could change things up a bit, start a survival world and set some rules for yourself (perhaps live a no-mad way of life, you can only stay in a single spot for one night, and the next day you have to move to a new spot; no houses, only "camps").

The only objection I have to that is I have not played Minecraft in a year lol. I just don't feel like creative anymore, I cant even make a survival world that I'm able to stay interested in. It really sucks but oh well.

Nope, it does get boring after a while. Like... really boring.

Take a break, play something different? No need to continue playing of you're not motivated. That inspiration might return after a while.
I have only been playing for a year and a half, it has been getting little boring for me as well. I have gone to multiplayer to get inspiration.
I post pretty rarely nowadays. Gosh, I wish this place weren't so... empty...
Your not the only one xD! I get that feeling all the time, I usualy try playing some multiplayer servers to get motivated again

With a game like Minecraft, you should just take a break play your favourite Shooter or whatever your into and just do that for a while.
When you come back Minecraft will be fresh again
(Done this lots of times)

I can say even i'm getting a bit bored of it but that's how life is. You do something to much and you eventually get bored of it.
