I have been asking myself since I began playing MC:Why Slimes spawn in Superflat worlds
I have concluded nothing:-The Biome isn't SwampLands (I check I was Plains')
-There isn't a slime chunk that goes all over the Minecraft world
Any answers/replies ,feel free to ask!

-Pixel Format Not Accelerated Problems in Windows 10 Reasons-
1.Old Intel CPU (2nd Gen and older) and these aren't ready for Windows 10.Please downgrade to an older version
2-Slow/Intel GPU (But sometimes Intel GPU just work fine from 3rd Gen CPU or newer on Win10)
3-Update Drivers (recommended for Dedicated GPU but not always for Intel's)

Slime also spawns at very low levels. Most superflat worlds if you don't change any settings are typically at y: 3 or close to the bottom of the map so you get tons of slime everywhere.
I never done this but heard you can make a slime farm anywhere if you dig out a large enough area for them to spawn in at the bottom of the map in any biome.
I think it's because the default superflat world has the height of y=4, and that's actually really near the void. So there are a lot of slimes spawning.
You can actually see this when you get a chunk error, it appears that slimes are spawning in the bottom of the chunk error.
If you go to the techincal side of things, you will notice that at a specific layer in regular worlds, slimes will spawn. In a regular superflat world, there are 4 layers, last is bedrock, and the rest is grass and dirt. So, you stand in one of these "slime chunks" and so slimes spawn.

You can only do that in slimechunks (a specific chunk, randomly chosen when the map generates) where slimes spawn. They do not spawn in any given chunk.
And they spawn in any Y level below 42 in those slimechunks. Which is why you often see slimes in superflat, since it's usually Y5 or something like that.

Slimes spawn in open areas, like swamps, and, of course, superflat. This has been removed in 1.8 because Slimes now only spawn in the chunk you are near/in.
It is because of the large flat surface. A large flat surface is optimal for slime spawning, and it's even better if it's on a low Y axis like superflat worlds are.
Expect TheMasterCaver to be here with his ultra-complicated explanations and graphs.
Interesting. I didn't think slime chunks were a thing in superflat worlds (for some reason, I feel like I heard this from MasterCaver), but I never actually had the mod operational in one nor did I think to check the seed at chunkbase (although not sure they have an option to specify superflat).

Depends what Superflat world you are making.

Reason why slimes spawn in superflat worlds because superflat worlds are in very low level. I think is Mojang will fix that in next version.
yup. nail on the head.
since the world is superflat, it allows more slimes to spawn in those 'SLIME CHUNKS'
which will always be loaded up when your walking around, meaning.. slimes apper more Often, since they will spawn in daylight conditions too

No, that means that if you dig out a large enough area it will contain a slime chunk!
You'd still be better off finding out where the slime chunks are and just digging out one (or more) of them.
Just testing.

Random junk is random:
A few of my suggestions and a personal favorite suggestions. More neat-o suggestions in my bio.
Slimes are coded to spawn underground around layer 30 and below (Yet I still haven't found any). One reasoning is that.
My Avatar: Totally not me.
AND IF YOU THINK IT IS ME THEN YOU HAVE NO REASON TO. MY AVATAR IS UNIQUE AND I HAVE BALLS TO PUT IT UP. >3>
anyway luv u <3
I'm pretty sure that the slimes aren't spawning everywhere, just in the slime chunks and then they move around.
Just testing.
