I have multiple dimensions in my current world, and I want to reset everything in a certain dimension, but I don't know which one it could be, and I don't want to risk erasing anything in my other dimensions. For example, i just went into the RS(Runescape) Dimension, there's too much dreaded earth on my spawn, I want to reset it, so how can I find the dimension's ID number without messing with others?
There's dimension ids? Well I think its in F3 then.
Yes, if you go into your minecraft saves folder, then into your world, you find DIM# folders. DIM -1 is nether, DIM 0 is the overworld, and DIM 1 is the end.
**EDIT
Also I tried it and it does not work, meaning it does not tell you in f3
If it's the ONLY mod adding dimensions, then it's the one that is NOT DIM -1, 0, or 1.
I would guess that the DIM number is in the config files for the mods.
Yeah its not the ONLY mod, if that was the case, I would have had no problem with this at all, as I knew the vanilla dimension numbers. And that is a great idea, but I can't find the config file for it. But I got the idea on how to solve this issue, thanks!
*EDIT Yeah I found the config, but I was looking for the wrong name. And it worked, so thanks for the answer
The DIM folders contains the world data (except the overworld, there is no DIM0 folder), but the world ID is set by the mod's config file.
For example, you can change the config of Twilight Forest to use dimension ID 7 which then it would make a sub-folder in your world folder named DIM7 for it. What you have to watch for is having multiple mods set to use the same dimension ID.
