I recently went to play and loaded up my world to goof off in creative. Only the chunk I was on loaded though, water would not flow, mobs would not spawn, and portals would not generate the actual portal blocks. I dug down all the way to void and let myself fall. To my surprise I was not killed and I did not even take any damage. I kept falling and falling until suddenly I spawned on top of the overworld and died. All around my dead body the chunks started loading again, the skeletons I had tried to spawn were there and when I actually respawned everything was normal. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? I do use mods; Aether II, NetherX, Utility Mobs, Special Mobs, Anti-Plant Virus, and in-game NBT-Edit.

I've never gotten it that badly. I've gotten times where nothing would happen for a moment and I'd just fall, but then within a few seconds everything would get back and I'd be in my correct place.

Ghosts? Illuminati? Half Life 3?

Had something that sounds similar happen to my world. Must have had Moses go through recently.
