So I own a realm server and my friends and I play on it pretty much everyday... And then we had an incident.
So here's how it went:
Yesterday, my friend #1 and I wanted to explore a friend's hidden base (since I found it), and we didn't want anyone else to know about it. But then friend #2 secretly followed us, and knew about the base, and pretty much everyone knew from that point. So we all checked what friend #3 had in his hidden base. When we checked what we had, we all thought he was x-raying for dungeon spawners, because he had a lot of horse armor, name tags, etc. After a few hours, I left the server and had to leave. I came back a couple of hours later, and friend #1 told me that friend #2 blew up friend #3's base because he hacked for the dungeon items, iron, redstone, etc. But now I'm starting to doubt that he didn't hack because he has been exploring nether fortress's a lot and he found 1-2 dungeons. So friend #2 is now saying it was fine to blow up his base because he hacked for the items (which I don't think he hacked for it), and now pretty much 90% of his items are gone, and his entire base is blown up. But I don't think friend #3 hacked. Friend #3 did have fly hacks on a previous world (we reset the server) and we caught him. I also said that if he hacked again I would have to ban him. So really I don't think he would hack again. Even if he did, I think what friend #2 did was definitely way too much and overboard. So I just want to know your guys opinions and what you think should be done?
i think friend #3 used x-ray hacks because it's very unlikely to get chests full of dungeon supplies so i don't think he deserved the stuff. what friend #2 did was harsh but justified.
He didn't have a chest full of dungeon items. I would say he had 3-4 diamond horse armor, around 7 gold and iron horse armor. And around 8 name tags. But he had been exploring fortress's
You were playing on a Realms server. Realms is only available for 1.8. Most mods (hacks), on the other hand, are still 1.7. Most logical conclusion: Friend #3 most likely didn't hack and got his stuff from nether fortresses. Friend #2 should have to pay Friend #3 some sort of refunding, i.e. 10 diamonds.

I doubt he hacked, I've gotten a lot of items from exploring when I actually go out, I just get lucky and I think friend #3 did too, but even if he did hack, friend #2 went way over board, there's no reason to blow up a whole base. If it was me, I'd ban both friend #2 and #3 for a few days and let them cool off, then fix the base and put some of the items back.

Basically that your answer there are like NO mods for 1.8 and anyways Friend #2 definitely went overboard. You should ban Friend #2 for about a week and try too fix Friend #3 base and get his stuff back.
It's like what everyone else is saying. Friend #2 crossed the line by trying to take matters into his own hands, and he needs to be reminded that he doesn't call the shots.

actually thats not true at all. there are plenty of 1.8 hacks including dungeonx ray >.>
You do get a lot of horse armor from some fortresses - on one server I nearly had a chest full of golden horse armor, just from a few fortresses. But I've never seen nametags in a fortress, but I've found some dungeons which had 3 of them though. (and you can fish them, and trade for them with villagers).
I don't know if your friend #3 hacked, used xray or whatever but #2 shouldn't have blown anything up though.

Obviously the only thing to do is ban everyone and then sit alone in your abandoned server wandering aimlessly while slowly losing your sanity.
But in all seriousness I doubt he hacked several horse armor and saddles is easy to get if you find a single nether fortress that has some good loot. (Not to mention the fact that he found several dungeons as you said) I say do a investigation questioning them both separately, then temp ban one or both of them according to what you think is right. Also make sure to make them Realize that if this keeps going on they are both getting banned.
Id say friend two and three should build a house 120000 blocks away from eachother and remember beds
Yeah, there might be some tension between friend #2 and friend #3. I'd suggest separating the pair, before it leads to a breakdown. Think of the children.
