Haven't seen any mods being made for 1.8 has every one stopped doing mods because of microsoft buy out. Is Minecraft going to die out because of the buy out. Having the basic game to play is fine for the new users, but after a bit they long for other things that only mods can add to game.
1.8 has changed a lot over 1.7, meaning that all the modding things need to be updated almost entirely. It has nothing to do with Microsoft. Seriously people, hop off the damn bandwagon of mindless Microsoft hate.

[quote]eriously people, hop off the damn bandwagon of mindless Microsoft hate. Naaa, no, no, no im just looking to see what every one is doing out there with the mod making. No one seems to be saying any thing about whats going on. and microsoft isn't saying any thing much about what the future of minecraft is going to be, so us old time users that bought it during alpha are we going to have to start paying for things?
There are already mods available for 1.8, like Too Many Items and FastBuild. Forge FML is already running and awaiting modders' response and input to finalize Forge 1.8. It's just a matter of time.
It take a while for them to make mods for 1.8, as well as come out with the next forge version. I doubt people will stop making and updating mods yet, so no need to worry about that! We'll just have to hang on for a while.. I'm finding it hard too.
As for Microsoft.. I am scared on the events in the future, but I have no hate towards them. They deal with technology, I love them. <3
Basically. I love Microsoft. I have no hate for them, Mojang are free to do anything unless Microsoft says so.
WAIT FOR 1.8 FORGE!
I dont get why people have hate to Microsoft for buying Mojang.... there is nothing wrong with that Unless they make a Microsoft Windows Computer in 1.9

Microsoft haven't said a thing; meaning nothing has changed..
Microsoft actually DID say they wanted to let Mojang continue as they were, in one of their video thingies about the acquisition.
And even if we did have to start paying for some things, would it really be that bad? The game cost, for me $14.22 and I got many many hours of enjoyment out of the game, over and beyond what I paid. If Mojang said their next project was a DLC, I would probably buy it just under the principal of "they earned it". I have zero issue with supporting a good thing, which is why I've spent way too much money on Guild Wars 2...
It doesn't matter if they start charging, because I already own the game and love it how it is. They can change whatever they want, but it won't change what we already have. I could care less. 1.8 is just fine!
The making of Forge 1.8 isn't an instant process... just because it's taking so long doesn't mean it's stopped... It's not like they made a forge update on September 2nd...
