Play the game on cracked servers like it so much buy it and get more features
my account is from a giveaway! I am so glad that i got it! so that no lost money goes away because it's owner quited minecraft!
OT:fully cracked users are able to play on cracked servers or singleplayer worlds, not premium or minigames servers, youcan always still get smallamount of cracked minigames servers tho it is like 75/750 players max servers.
Basically sums up my opinion. If they can't afford minecraft and just want to play with a few friends, I don't see why not.
Its not like they have lots of options as cracked players.

I have to agree with these three. I mean it's not like no one has ever played a crack game before anyways. I know I've played my fair share of cracks back when I was a teenager and that was because I couldn't afford the game. I actually still play those games, but I've seen bought them are the sub for it. You got to think a lot of families don't have money but for the bare essentials and before you say they have a PS3, a PS4, blah blah blah, yeah they do, but their parents are probably going without just so there child can be happy. It's the sad truth, people.
(Sorry, didn't mean to go on there. I just know how it is to not have any money, but want something so bad that you do get the crack. I played a cracked D&D as a teenager. Not now, I paid for it because I loved the crack so much.)
Edit: Also, I want to add when I use to do the crack games and my friends would ask me if I liked they game and I would tell them yes, they should go buy it they would. I may have not been able to pay for it myself back than, but I was able to help them get their games sold by me playing the crack version and telling my friend to buy it. (I was always asked because for some reason since I had and established gamertag back than they I automatically thought I knew every game. Gatorceri was just one of my many gamertags from back than. I don't remember the one that everyone mostly knew me as though, but I like this one better.)
It's easy to close the book and shout "He has cracked, off with his head!" case closed but if you just glace, there clearly is a gray area. What if you cannot buy it? One thing some seem to forget is there are LOT of kids who's parents will not let them purchase the game, there are countries where it's difficult to get it. Are they still pirates? Yes. Are they these immoral people who's computers should be confiscated and smashed with a hammer? In my opinion, no.
I could argue getting rid of the pirates hurts the game more than it helps anyone. I know of plenty of other games as well where piracy has helped the game grow immensely! Some aren't going to spend money blindly just based on a limited demo, these are potential buyers as much as anyone, pirate or non-pirate. A lot of pirates have; as you've seen here, bought the game later. Whether you want to agree or not, pirating has made Minecraft and a ton of other games a lot of money.
You'd be surprised how many people "try before you buy." Some people who pirate keep it and never pay. This one small group of people who's game aren't payed for irrelevant when you look at number copies that are.
Theft is taking a physical piece of merchandise and calling it your own. You benefit and hurts everyone else. Piracy is making a copy of a piece of merchandise for their use, pirates do this to get a better look at what their buying or they cannot obtain the product by other means. However there are a lot of cases where the pirate later purchases, the pirate and sometimes even company benefits. Theft and piracy are taking something and not paying for it, but they are not the same thing.
Potential sales from people who never would spend money on the game isn't taking money away, and pirating a digital copy of a game is not making or taking a physical object. It has nothing to do with counterfeiting money. Know the subject before you comment on it.
Some people cannot afford the game, so having cracked gives them access to Minecraft for free; which is beneficial for them. The Minecraft community will get a larger audience because of this. Minecraft doesn't lose revenue, because with the amount of money they it earns, and with the growing community of cracked players who tell their friends to get the game, it gets MORE money. Cracked players cannot get full access of what premium Minecraft offers, they cannot go to premium servers; but the poor-quality cracked servers always filled with people. Most cracked players do not have access to different skins.
Premium players will be glad to know that the people who didn't pay for the game do not get all the accesses of the game.
Cracked players will want all of these features, so they would buy the game eventually; and so will their cracked friends.
I disagree with using a cracked version of this game. Normally I can see using it as a demo, but iirc Minecraft has a demo that gives you plenty of time to decide if you want to buy it.

Notch himself once said that someone else could just pirate, if they couldn't get Minecraft.
That being said, many players also start off as cracked- myself as well... not to mention the fact that not everyone has access to paypal, credit cards, etc- heck, I was only 14 when I started playing Minecraft.
In the end I'm fairly positive that most cracked players who actually enjoy Minecraft and play a lot of it will at some point convert to premium Minecraft, if only just to support such an awesome game... (would have said if only just to support Notch but.... it's Microsoft now :/ )
And finally, if you don't want to deal with cracked players play on premium servers.
Your logic for cracking the game is because it's owned by Microsoft? Really?
There are plenty of businesses that I dislike, but that doesn't mean you should steal from them out of spite.
Please don't misuse the word "steal".
An illegal copy is not stealing. It's creating something, not taking something away.
If you have a car-copying machine you're welcome to come and copy my car, even without asking me. My car will still be there in the morning, so no theft/stealing has occurred.
I'm not condoning the act, just saying use the right word(s).
I'm a cracked user. I don't buy the game because my parents think buying original version of any software is waste of money. I'm planning to buy the game when I can though.
And I agree piracy is theft. Mojang lose $26.95 per copy of cracked Minecraft

Not accurate at all.
Does your copy cost them anything? Your parents (and you) wouldn't buy it even if you didn't have a cracked copy.
If I went and created 10 cracked copies now Mojang would lose nothing - if I hadn't made the copies I wouldn't have paid for legitimate copies anyway.
Illegal copies do not equal lost sales (even if they did it still wouldn't be theft: theft requires that you take something someone currently possesses - not at all what we're discussing).
I tried a cracked version before i bought 10 copies on multiple platforms and devices of minecraft. I think cracking is fine as long as its used to demo a unit, but should be maintained to restrict and prevent updates going to cracked users, or at the very least restricting their ability to connect to "legit" and "online only" servers.
More so people who host cracked servers to generate Revenue for themselves or their server. They should be hit the hardest for supporting, distributing, and more so releasing copies of a cracked client to help fund their illegally hosted server, even if they legally own the software, assuming that as such they are hosting the server to generate revenue. If they are not its a entirely different story and in otherwords im fine with it.

I started with a cracked copy of minecraft back in version 1.8.1 but it was so easy to get i didnt know it was a cracked copy my younger brother just downloaded minecraft.exe it installed and we started playing (i probably would have figured it out if it wasnt one of my first pc games) it wasnt until some time later when i tried to join a public server that i figured it out and bought the game.
In my opinion the only time i would consider it ok to pirate a game is if there is no way you can afford to bye it. Minecraft is (if Microsoft dosnt increase the price) so cheap that just about anyone should be able to afford it.
I picked up the demo and gave that a go. For me, 100 minutes was no way near enough time to decide if I wanted to purchase. I found a cracked client and played that for roughly 4-6 hours before I knew I wanted to buy. If the cracked client didn't exist, I would never have parted with my £17.95.

By that logic, music makers lose nothing when people pirate their music.
But let's go ahead and break down that analogy.
If I duplicated my car for a friend, then I don't lose anything.
However, what about the car-maker? Mojang is losing something from piracy.
They are losing potential sales.
Sure, there are some people who pirate to try things out before they buy them, but what about the ones who pirate to keep?
You can argue that piracy isn't stealing all you want, but it doesn't change the fact that money is lost from it.

Does the government want you to copy money?

After that, I bought the game.
I'm all for doing the above thing, but if you simply download the game, like it, then continue to use the cracked version, then I'm not ok with it.

Illegal copies aren't all bad - they funnel people towards legitimate copies.
