Hi there. I'm looking for some suggestions and/or links to mod(packs) that fit a certain criteria. I will continue to search this site and others, but I post here hoping someone knows exactly what I should look or or thinks they do. I welcome any suggestion.

I'd like to create a worldmap/server for my son and his friends that replicates a more Robin Hood-esque setting. An old world feel with the lack of magic and odd ball creatures. If the mobs can be replaced by other human NPCS, then that would be welcome.

I'm sorry, but I haven't heard of a mod that does that. Clarifying, would the human mobs be hostile?

I had hoped for them to represent bandits and such, so yes. Or perhaps something that allowed me to turn off certain mobs. I think reskinning the skeletons would be find since they are archers.

I haven't actually ever tried this mod or anything like it, but judging from the previews this seems to be what you're looking for.

After thinking about my request, I realize that I should have been clearer about my idea.

I'd like there to be roleplaying/fantasy aspects that many mods provide, but I'd like to limit them to non-magical uses. I'd like the world to possess danger and adventure, but in a more real world fashion.

This may be a lot to ask for and it's cool if it is. I'm not asking for someone to do work for me, but just asking on the off chance someone knows what I'm looking for.

i think they would like hexxit or technic then just add Humens+ mod then just tell them to add a texure pack a old medevil

Those are quite fun, but I'm pretty sure that he wants to avoid magic and technology related mods. I haven't checked out any new packs for a while, but I have yet to hear of either a technic or FTB pack doesn't have at least a couple of those.

You're right with the texture pack though. If you want a themed feel to mc, that's the way to go.

I also recommend going on ROBLOX and playing a medical RPG that they have. That perfectly fits what you're looking for, the only downside is that ROBLOX is not minecraft, and you do have to deal with very little kids typing horribly. " hai how u deign kid" " aim batter tehn u "

Roblox sucks

Well it depends how you look at it. Some game modes are rather fun, while others are stupid and not fun. (That blandness sentence though xD)

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm going to look into each one. I did look at Hexxit and I noticed it had a lot of magic-ish mods. Can these be disabled?
