41 year old. Recently discovered the joy of Minecraft, although my kids played for years. Have played games since the Atari 400 and loading them from cassette tape. Yes, cassette!!! Had our first computer in 79.
I enjoy the open ended nature, the creativity, and most importantly the casual nature. I can spend as much or little time and enjoy it. I have my own server, but don't play on it, since no one else is on it. I do play on safesurvival.net.
26 and have been playing for a few years. Own the PC. PS4 and Pocket versions. I am also building a server for large games.
Anyone that tells me it's a childs game, I pull out the redstone and build a small contraption of some sort, explaining to them how it is relevant to the IT world that I work in. And then I show them 8 & 16 bit computers others have made.
40 year old here. I have a lot of fun with Minecraft. If someone tells me I'm being silly playing a kid's game, well, so be it. I couldn't care less what other people think. I get enough flak being a fan of anime lol.
I'm 25. Play in a national touring band, and love playing minecraft. I like seeing other people's buildings and creativity. Feel free to add me and let's build some sh*t!
Minecraft a kid's game? pffff...no way. It is strategic, relaxing and smart..;)
I just turned 41. One of my son (18) played in my face a tad too many times and got me hooked on it. We play together on the server he got for us, or in LAN when he is here with me, or I play in single player. I am quite new to MC. less than a year I'd say.

I don't mean to disrespect what this thread is for, but I'm 14. I know it might sound bad, but please hear me out. I've been playing since August 16, 2011.
And let me tell you I am SICK of all the minigame playing, lucky block mod using, "Budder" Saying, Pvping 8 year olds.
I really miss the days of beta 1.7.3 (And I wish I would've started earlier), back when the fanbase wasn't mostly crap.
So I'm looking for someone who's still one of those level-headed Minecraft players who might happen to host a Vanilla Survival Server, are willing to make one, or could point me in the direction for these kind of servers. If you can, please reply.

Not the place for this, however, This is exactly what i have made. I am, however i'm in the process of purchasing a house so my IP address is going to change and i have not setup my server publicly at my current apartment. I'll PM you when this is up and running.
30-year-old woman here; been gaming since I've been a lil' girl, no plan on stopping anytime soon. I've started Minecraft back in 2013 as a b-day present to myself, and so far, I've been in SSP or (getting bored in) in creative. No real interest in multiplayer. I think most of that is because I do play MMORPGs and absolutely hate griefers - if I can't stand how people will willingly mess up a 2-hour run in an instance, having someone potentially take down what I've been working on for months would surely have me ragequit. Yeah there's whitelisted servers, but I'm always weirdly afraid that 1. people won't take me seriously for some reason and 2. that I won't fit in the server...coupled with social anxiety (especially online, dunno why), I've been reluctant to even try those.
Really, really enjoy Minecraft though. I didn't think I would at first, but it's really grown on me.

Sometime, I'd like to find another server to play on (I'm a 37 y/o
married woman, with kids and a You Tube channel) but it's kinda hard to
find one that you can be confident is going to be good. So I feel you on
that one!

I'm 30 + my husband and myself both play, as do our two children and a nephew. I started to play to join in with the kids as my games were too hard for them, and got hooked! We recently started our own server. All ages ARE welcome there. But we won't stand for members who don't act sensible and mature. If anyone would like to join send me a message!

Playing Minecraft is our chance to escape the reality and mundaneness of everyday life, if only for a little while.
43 yrs old started playing about month and half ago now this is the only game i play. Have 2 kids that play as well is the only reason i got into the game. Have our own server with DNS Tech Pack been goofing with it for about 2 weeks now and enjoy it. If you want to check it out let me know i have some room on the server for more people
I'll be 44 later this year, been playing video games since my early teens, been into Minecraft for 5 or 6 years now I think. My sons got me into it when they were still in their teens. They've long since grown out of it, but I still love it. However I've mostly played solo though, bit of a recluse (quite a shy person), don't really have any experience of multiplayer - videos I have watched on YouTube have seemed rather chaotic and off-putting, but it might be a nice thing to try some time with other dedicated mature adults. All I ever hear about Minecraft in the news / media is what a great game it is for kids, and when you say to people 'Oh I play Minecraft' (or even just video games) you get a strange look sometimes!
I'll be 59 in a few weeks. I'm a mechanical engineer and work as a software developer now since 1993. The last I picked up Minecraft was about 4 years ago but just recently rediscovered the game. Video games have been part of my 'recreation' since the Atari and Sega days, I played WOW for about 4 years and just got burned out on it. As a pc gamer, I play a variety of FPS with my online Steam friends most every night.
I play MC single player and just build, mine, run around, kill zombies, just to unwind every evening. There's no pressure and I like games that are open ended where I can explore and do my own thing.. The Redstone stuff and TNT are so cool !!!!!!!
