i played minecraft 4-5 years ago at the first time it was fun, great,a new expirience, ect. but in 2012 i stoped playing MC because i realized something.
minecraft its not good if you look at the details of the game why?
may because its too repetitive, too easy, it has no good multiplayer, it hasnt got decent grapichs, the monster arent creative, the desing of the monsters and the environment sucks, its too basic and the combat system sucks
too repetive: its just mine, farm, build, hunt, eat, sleep and craft
too easy: minecraft its not dangerous, full of adventures, hard craftings, ect. you died? if you die you just respawn. even hardcore its too easy. its night supouse to be dangerous? yes but the monster are slow, easy to kill, stupid, ect. you just run and you are safe in mc
no good multiplayer: 68 to 816 players conected to a server. its funny to be killed at the minute or being grifed after disconecting? nope, its not. dont starve is doing a good multiplayer
it hasnt got decent grapichs: well having 16X16 texture, squared sun, trees, mobs, terrain, no shadows, no water reflection and 2d stuff its decent? and the worst is th FPS in HL2
Maybe it's too repetitive because you try new thing in the game. Find a whitelisted server, and you'll have a good time.
The graphics aren't supposed to be good. Squared sun: The whole game is made out of squares. Making the sun and moon a circle wouldn't fit.
Trees, Mobs, Terrain: No reasons? No explanation means no argument.
No shadows and no water reflection: It's not in the game because it's just way to hard to program into the game, having to know what blocks are behind you, and all.
And the FPS is probably because of your computer.
And if you don't like it, then stop. But you'll probably get a lot of hate on these forums.
It's all personal opinion. I love the game, it constantly evolves. If you interact with the community (the good parts of it at least...) it's an amazing experience. I love playing Minecraft, and sharing my experiences on YouTube. I'm sure for others though, it's an incredibly dull game. I can see that, and occasionally I deviate from playing it for periods of time as I experience burnout or withdrawal but I always find myself back playing Minecraft.
I have found myself playing less and less as I have had less and less time to learn all the new features. But yes it can be hard to learn something new if you aren't staying on top of it.
Criticism of the game is good. It is what Identifies its weak points, but some of you points are a bit narrow minded. Here, let me explain:

I have to agree with this. It does get repetitive, I myself find this to be the reason I play for short periods of time. Keep in mind though, Minecraft is a Creative building game with mild Survival elements. If your not the creative or artistic type, you will probably get board quite quickly. Also, there are tons of mods that vary from changing the game completely to simply adding ascetic blocks/items. You can make it play the way you want.
If you really look at any other game, you'll notice that they are restricted to a few core game mechanics. Break it down and throughout the entire game, you simply repeat the same actions, over and over, the main difference often being, your given reason/purpose by means of a story. Finish the game, play through it again, this time, most likely skipping the story and cut scenes. If you truly spent the amount of hours playing that game as Minecraft, it would become predictable, boring, and easy.
Don't believe me? Take a look at a few speed runs. They simply memorize, manipulate, and predict the AI's response to their actions.

Much of the previous applies here. Try Ultra Hardcore. It has very limited options for health regen, delete your world on death if that is your thing. Make your own personal rules. It doesn't have to be hard coded into the game. Make it more difficult for yourself because you want it to be. If you break your rules though, you need to question whether it is really minecraft your dissatisfied with.

There is nothing different in SMP. So, again, as a result you make it what you want. Not only does it sound like you have joined a lot of crappy servers, but it is very unlikely you are going to have a satisfying experience playing with randoms. The experience is your own, so play with family and friends.

This is arrogant and entitled. If you base your other opinions along this same reasoning your entire life with be bland, flat, and boring. You'll also have only a few people to chose from for friends, all with the same boring life as you, as the rest want nothing to do with this attitude. Different does not mean bad.
Yes FPS and general performance is bad. It went drastically down hill back when they merged SSP into the absolute trash heap of SMP. It has improved since then, but slowly and painfully.
HL2? Um...
In summary, open your mind and try a few things. Perhaps TerraFirmaCraft? Maybe you'll enjoy it, maybe not.
If it is still to bland, try making something of your self or explore in the real world. It is dynamic, not defined by the woefully inadequate code of AI, and populated my billions of unique people.
I can honestly say that if I stopped playing all other games I own and only play minecraft, single player, it would be more than a year of using all my free time playing it before I got tired of it. add even one server and I could see myself playing it forever without ever being sick of it. the options available to you in this game are so expansive, I couldn't imagine being bored of it. once it gains some repetitiveness to me I switch mod packs, or find someone new to play with, or try something maybe not done yet, or improve on some mass destruction phisic. the possibilities are so redonk that I honestly think people who grow bored of it aren't playing it right somehow. I do remember once I made a creative game my first time playing it and got bored soon after cause it was just unlimited power, a year later I figured out it was my own fault and made it survival, and then I was engrossed. I haven't even needed to go to the adventure maps yet for entertainment. another way this game never gets dull, freaken fan made plot! I'd love it if everyone could find a good modpack, server, adventure map, or peer group to play the game with, cause that's when it really gets good.

I agree with you. The greatest thing about Minecraft is that each and every one of us plays how we want. Don't like something? Don't do it. Like a mod? Add it. No other game gives players the same amount of control over the game from the very beginning. In addition, half the fun is finding other trustworthy players with similar tastes and creating your own adventure. If you lack imagination and you don't want to experiment with new gameplay, I recommend you find a different game.
I took a short break than it got more fun after that. I started to try new things such as modded servers, mini-games, etc. Just try to join different servers, play with some friends or play modded Minecraft.
Why are you still here then? You posted like 5 other threads saying that Minecraft is boring. If you really don't like the game, then leave. Your posts are painful to read and I doubt you are smart enough to even have that good of a judgement. You clearly have no idea how to install mods or resource packs. If you say you have worse fps than HL2, then you clearly can't even play enough to even enjoy it. It is a sandbox game. It's more focused on building and not fighting monsters. This is clearly not the right game for you. I highly doubt you have been playing so long.
Fighting monsters is not the point. The point of the game is to go out and do whatever YOU want to do. Want tougher mobs? Download a mod. Hate the way blocks look? Download a resource pack. But you can still do whatever you want. Its your choice, and always will be.
I have found myself playing less and less as I have had less and less time to learn all the new features. But yes it can be hard to learn something new if you aren't staying on top of it.
I feel the same way. At first, I was addicted and learnt everything. But as stuff gets added it's very hard to keep up for me. They should make learning and updating the game an easier experience for newer and confused players. Although, the way Minecraft works where you have to learn by yourself is quite something special and gives a sense of pride to the player who is learning all these features.

At least, to me it is fun. Many others hate the game and I understand. 16 pixel blocks kinda get annoying sometimes.
But I love the game because I can unleash my creativity and show others. It is quite fun for me.
I have never got bored of the game, just taken long breaks from it.
