Alright guys, I want to see what you guys have to say about these three scenarios... This may get interesting. So please explain why you chose what you did if you can!
1) Would you rather die 5000 blocks from your spawn (or bed) on horseback so you have to retrieve your horse, or would you rather drown in lava wearing full diamond armor while possessing all diamond tools?
2) Would you rather have your favorite redstone creation blown up by a supercharged creeper, or have your wooden house burn down due to lightning and fire spread?
3) Would you rather find a dungeon or an abandoned mineshaft? (A positive question!)
Reply if you wish, but either way, have a great day!
1. This is a hard one. I am going to have to say 5000 blocks, because if I die in lava, I am almost SURE my stuff will be burnt, where as 5000 blocks, I can rush and possibly retrieve some of it, and maybe my horse. So yea, Id rather die 5000 blocks/
2. I'd have to say have a wooden house burnt, since redstone creations take a long time to make and get just right, when I can always easily build a house.
3. I'd have to say abandoned mineshaft, since they have a lot more chests than dungeons, free rails, (usually) multiple spawners, cobwebs, lots of ores, lead into good caves, and more.
1. I'd say 5000 blocks, for the reasons they had, and also... if I had a horse, it stands to reason that somewhere near my spawn, I could just train another one.
2. A wooden house is much easier to rebuild and attain materials for.
3. Likely a dungeon... if not for the loot, it is a good sense of accomplishment. (Also, abandoned mineshafts can be found fairly easily)
1) 5000 blocks away. The reason is that the items/horse would be easily retrievable. They disappear in 5 minutes, but if you aren't near them they don't update, and could be there forever. You could spend a couple hours getting ready to go on your journey without the horse/items disappearing.
2) Wooden house. Wooden house = easy to build. Redstone contraption = not so easy to build.
3) Dungeon. It provides loot as well as mob drop/XP farm
1. I'd rather die riding my horse. I could always find another horse somewhere else in the world. However, it would take me hours to mine all of those diamonds back.
2. Who needs wooden houses? Let it burn! I'll build an underground bunker next time, without using wood.
3) A dungeon, of course. Free XP farm and free mob droppings (no, not poop).
1. Die 5000 blocks away (although I don't use horses, but would still need to get my stuff back)
2. Wooden house (although I don't build with redstone)
3. Mineshafts; far more to explore and mob drops are useless, even arrows with an infinity bow (I don't need any extra XP either, which doesn't fit my playstyle anyway as I pretty much have to get enough XP from normal gameplay for it to be enjoyable; that said, a dungeon (or two) could make an insane XP/mob drops farm with the way I modded spawners so dungeons are actually dangerous; I know when there is a zombie dungeon nearby due to the sheer number of zombies coming after me)
1. Die 5000 Blocks Away From Spawn
2. Have My Favorite Redstone Creation Blown Up. (I Suck At Redstone Anyways)
3. Abandon Mineshafts. (Even Though I'll Get Lost, I Still Go There)

Have a great day everybody!

2. Redstone
3. abandoned mineshaft!
Read The Rules: http://www.minecraftforum.net/meta/rules
2) Wooden house. Wooden house = easy to build. Redstone contraption = not so easy to build.
3) Dungeon. It provides loot as well as mob drop/XP farm
2. Ladder.
3. Ladder because there are things you can find in a dungeon in abandoned mineshafts.
You can just call me Canary.
How not to look like a total fool in the forum games
2) Redstone destroyed
3) Dungeon
2. Who needs wooden houses? Let it burn! I'll build an underground bunker next time, without using wood.
3) A dungeon, of course. Free XP farm and free mob droppings (no, not poop).
2) Wooden house. Easier to replace.
3) Mineshaft. More loot.
Also:
It's "latter" not "ladder" just so you know.
Not trying to be a grammar jerk, just trying to be helpful.
2. Wooden house burn down. Wood is easy to come by.
3. Dungeon! Everyone loves XP

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
2. Have My Favorite Redstone Creation Blown Up. (I Suck At Redstone Anyways)
3. Abandon Mineshafts. (Even Though I'll Get Lost, I Still Go There)
2. Wooden house burned down. Reason: The rain would put out the fire before it could spread.
3. Dungeon. Reason: Free diamond horse armor. Oh, and lots of xp from the spawner.
2: wood house, the best redstone i would make on a survival world is a pressure plate behind the door, however the rain would put the fire out.
3: mineshaft, mob drops and exp are not a problem to me most of the time, and a mineshaft has much more to explore and loot.
