I am planning on remaking some features of my Faction server. First of all, I am really sad that I have to say I run factions, and yes that's true, because they are truly overused. I have been searching for something unique that has never been done (or few servers have developed it), so I can apply it on my server, and hopefully become more like a bigger community.
Lately, I was thinking of uninstalling factions (yeees!) but I am thinking of some players who like them because they can make a team, and protect their house. It is true, that this is a good idea, but imagine hundreds of servers having the same thing, again and again. And that's why I do not want to be part of this.
So, here is what I came up. I want you to answer truly, if you were intersted, and if it's catchy, if not, you can really go on and suggest your own idea ;).
Before I start, let me tell you that PVP will be enabled, with no factions. So far, I had a hub and a separated world for factions. I will close the second world and I will aim on making the Hub, sort of like a minigame thing. When I say minigames, I do not include any plugins, just several tasks you can do around spawn.
Here is my structure so far:
Main Hub (Spawn)
Mining Area (Autorefilling mine with ores)
Mob grinder (Nature style, not farm)
Large Mall (Shop, Enchanting, Brewing Areas)
(Main Feature) Massive Arena with PvP, Mob Ambushes and Flat Capture.
Now, about that Massive Arena:
It's going to be like a normal piece of a world (forests, mountains, lakes etc.)
Small ruined cities (maybe 4) with flags to capture.
Ability to navigate around, kill mobs for money, and PvP with other people.
Paid Ranks with In-game Money and that way, unlocking new kits and armor.
Earning money from killing Mobs, Selling Ores and PvP'ing.
