I decided that we should compile a list of slang on these foums. This page may help newbies and anyone who does not understand most Minecraft slang. If there is any slang you don't understand, be sure to point it out!
Here it goes:
Admin:
Admin is shorthand for 'Adminastrator'. An admin is aften in charge of the overall managing of a multiplayer. server, preforming tasks such as recruiting mods, building spawn locations, and premoting the server. Admins are almost definitely given the rank of OP. My friend is an admin on a server!
See: OP 1, OP 2
See: Mod 2
Adminium:
Adminum is bedrock, so named because of it's unbreakability. This is because before the addition of creative mode, it could only be broken by players with 'admin' postion, especially during the 'Classic' period of testing. After the addition of creative mode, survival server teneded to only give creative mode to admins, so the name stuck, while slightly less popular. I kept mining until I hit the adminium layer.
See: Admin
See: OP 2
Butter/Budder:
A nickname for the in-game item gold ingot, and related items. Gold armor and tools are very weak, and the textures for the gold ingot are comparable to a stick of butter. This term was popularized by the youtuber SkyDoesMinecraft. I found diamonds, lapis, butter, and iron on my mining trip.
Cracked:
Cracked Minecraft is a copy of Minecraft illegally downloaded without a paid account of Minecraft. Players can play without an account by using offline mode, and not actually logging in. Some multiplayer servers are 'cracked', and thus allow players to play multiplayer wihout an account. Sandy got a cracked version of minecraft because she wanted to try it out.
Enchanted Golden Apple:
See: God Apple.
God Apple:
A nickname for the in-game Notch apple, a God apple is a better variant of the standard golden apple. Jeff is so rich, he has 5 God apples!
Grief (Griefer):
A player who steals from and destroys the constructions of other players. This term was originally a general gaming term which meant any malicious player, but now is mostly used to discuss destrcution of creations and items. Most servers do not allow griefing, but some servers allow and even encourage it. A griefer will destory houses and other constructions to get a reaction from a victim, making griefers extremely unpopular. My house got griefed, so I reported it to the server staff.
Hunger Games:
Hunger Games is a popular minigame within minecraft. The goal of this game is to attack and kill all other players in a specified arena, while survivng yourself. This game typically features weapons in the center of the arena, as well as spread around. It is often played with a plugin, 'Survival Games'. Hunger Games is based on a fight of the same name in the novel,"The Hunger Games". Katrina is good at playing hunger games.
Mob:
Short for 'mobile' or 'monster', a mob is any creature that exists in Minecraft. This term can apply to peaceful, as well as hostile creatures. There were tons of mobs near my base, so I put up a fence.
Mod:
1.A mod, short for 'modification' is software you install to your computer change the content of Minecraft. Modding is a general gaming term which means to change, or modify a game. Several programs have been made to assist players in modding. Mods can add anything to the game, varying from airplanes, to smarter NPC (non-player character) villagers. I don't like vanilla gameplay, so I downloaded a couple mods.
See: UHC
See: Vanilla
2.A member of a multiplayer server in charge of enforcing the server rules. 'mod' is short for 'moderator'. A mod is often the lowest level of staff, and in charge of enforcing the server rules, without any sort of control over the server. A mod may or may not have OP status, depending on what the server owner prefers. I used the server's forums to apply to be a mod, but was rejected.
See: Admin
See: OP 1
Obby:
Obby is obsidian. The term 'obby' is often used in faction servers, due to obsidian's resistance to explosions. I built an obby farm yesterday.
See: Grief
See: OP 2
OP:
1.OP is short for 'operator'. An OP is a person who runs a multiplayer server, sometimes doing various tasks such as enforcing the server rules and building structures for the server. In Mojang's server hosting software, player have the ability to become OP, meaning that the have acess to all server commands. In Bukkit server, 'OP' or 'operator' is often a 'rank' that a player can have. An OP on the server banned Tim for spamming.
2. Minecraft Shorthand for 'over-powered', meaning an in-game item that has abilities beyond what is considered 'acceptable'. Enchanted diamonds swords are OP.
Optifine:
A Minecraft modification that is used to improve the graphics of Minecraft as well as prevent lag. Benny's computer is sometimes slow when he runs Minecraft, so he downloaded optifine!
See: Mod 1
Skelly/Skellington/Skellybutt:
A nickname for the in-game skeleton mob, which uses a bow to attack the player. Skellies are well-known for their annoying qualities, and will often attack the player in a way which prevents them from using melee attacks. Skeletons are often called 'skellies' as a means to insult themfor their annyoing behavior. I was minding my own buisiness in a cave when a skelly shot me to death.
Spleef:
Spleef is a Minecraft sport/mini-game which involves players in an arena breaking blocks below their opponents, causing them to drop below the arena. The last person standing wins. This game has some variations, such as Multi-Leveled spleef or Bow Spleef. My friends can't mine today, because they are playing spleef.
Stack:
A stack is full amount of items that a player can hold in one inventory slot. A stack usually refers to two or of the same items in the same slot, so a sword is not 'stackable'. Because most items can be stacked at a maximum of 64, a group of 64 items is refered to as a 'full stack', with 32 items being a 'half stack' and so on. I wish saddles could stack.
Testificate:
Testificates are the in-game non-player-character villagers, kown to ask for trades involving emeralds. Testificates are also known to seem stupid, due to their comical espressions and strange noises. 'Testificate'
was a placeholder name given to the villagers during pre-release testing. The testificates I found in the village had great trades!
UHC:
UHC, standing for 'Ultra hardcore' is a version of the in-game hardcore gamemode with no natural health regeneration, causing players to need golden apples and potions to renew their health. UHC is hard, especially because of the inablity to respawn!
See: Mod 1
See: God apple
Vanilla:
Vanilla is Minecraft without any modifications. 'Vanilla' can refer to Minecraft without any multiplayer server plugins, as well as Minecraft without any modifications that change the coding of the game itself. I found a vanilla server on the Minecraft forum
See: Mod 1
Feel free to discuss the list and any changes that I should make below. Let's try and put down all the slang!

Yes. Yes I do.
A new and likely annoying person on a server. Short for Newbie, also called nub or n00b.
Considering this is more of a general gaming term without a specific meaning in Minecraft, I won't add it for now. However, I encourage you to convince me otherwise.

OP has other terms too that could confuse a "newb", i would fix that one really. (Add into it)
OP can mean what you originally said but also mean, over powered (tools and etc) and oringal post/er. You have to figure out which OP people are referring to when talking though but its not hard really.
EX 1: OP (over powered)
Person 1- My sword has so many enchants on it and more. *Lists the enchants and more on sword*
Person 2- Wow, your sword is OP.
EX 2: OP (original post/er)
Oringal post/er- I suggest we have unicorns that eat rainbows and can fly when they eat rainbows.
Person 1- Flying unicorns, awesome. I'd love to fly. Oh we should also have a giant eye that flies in the sky and shoots out laser beams!
Person 2- Yeah, eyes that shoot laser beams would be awesome. They can a boss and drop a potion that makes you invincible if you destroy them!
Person 3- Guys keep this thread on track. OP, i think your idea can use work...quiet a lot too. Though i wouldn't support anyways as unicorns don't fit the game especially with weird powers and such. Sorry.

Good idea. I'll diferentiate between 'operator' and 'over-powered', but not 'orgininal poster'. 'original poster' is more forum lingo than Minecraft lingo.

personally i wouldn't class budder as minecraft slang, due to the fact its only used by people who follow sky, its not a common term used by all players, its just sky fanboy slang
Well, 'butter' is actually often used by non-sky-fans, which makes it generic slang, although it is true that SkythekidRS fanboys use the phrase 'butter' FAR more often than the average player.

I don't know why this is the first time I've heard the reference "Skellybutt", but that's pretty funny.
A lot of people aren't familiar with every single term, so don't be surprised if you are unfamiliar with a certain slang word. I didn't know some words, which is partly why I did a little bit of research to confirm each term. For example, while i've heard 'UHC' in the occasional mindcrack video, I had to google it do confirm it was more or less a phrase people use.
Greifer: Someone who enjoys destroying other peoples hard work to see their reaction
That do anything for you?
Oh yes, forgot to include that.
