Meh, I just thought the mouse based ones were smoother easier to use. I've noticed I've been crashing a lot more with the new controls. Maybe I just sucks with boats
Could you guys be a little more vague, please? What new boat controls? Something in a recent snapshot? Or are you just now discovering the changes that were made, like, months ago? I remember that before, boats worked where you could use the WASD keys to speed up, slow down, or steer the boat, and you could also steer by turning the mouse and pressing forward. Then they made it so it works like horses where you have to steer with the mouse, and can only go forward with the W key (no brake, or steering with the other keys.) Then they changed it back so you could steer with the keys again but I think you still can't brake or slow down except by turning around and going "forward" in the other direction (or simply waiting for your momentum to dissipate, I mean you obviously don't just go the same speed forever.)
How do they work right now? Is it time for something completely different?

I litterally just played it... I personally love the new controls for the boats it is hard to control if you are in a tight winding river but if you are out in a lake or even the ocean its a lot easier to control
