Some people may have not noticed, but tomorrow is April Fools day guys. And Mojang is one hell of a company in making pranks in this particular day. Mojang has been quiet lately, don't you think? Maybe they're scheming up some nasty stuff alright. Here's what Mojang has done in the following years:
April Fools 2011:
In this particular April Fools day, Mojang has added the infamous locked chest. Most of you know it, but for those who don't, it's basically a regular looking chest added in beta 1.5 by Notch. It was randomly generated in every chunk, and it emitted a light leve of 15. When someone clicked on it, it sayid that it requires a key. Under that message, there was a button to go to the Minecraft store to buy the key. Once clicked on it, it redirects to a page similar to an online shopping store, only Minecraft themed. It had several funky and unreal stuff, a key, and three secret items, one or two of them marked with a ridiculously high price. If the person confirms a purchase, a velociraptor from Jurassic park will fly across the screen.
The locked chest was removed in beta 1.5_01 patch.
April Fools 2013:
This one is even crazier than April Fools 2011. In this day, Mojang announced Minecraft 2.0 with a fake change log containing a whole bunch of weird stuff. They said that it was only available for 100 testers, but it was easily downloaded from a certain link to the Minecraft assets server. The version had pink withers who spread hearts, exploding animals, a super hard moment which came once in a while while playing, fish dropping droppers, and so on. It even had retextured cows and pigs displayed as "horses". FYI this was before 1.6 was even announced.
The second day, a message was shown above the Mojang blog post saying "April Fools".

I don't see why not. It stands to reason, however, that if they do anything big it will be an obvious April Fool's joke. On the flipside they could go big and, us expecting it to be a joke, leave it as a permanent feature. You never can tell with Mojang.
Since like last year there has been a lack of recent snapshots and quietness three could be. We will have to see...
There have been snapshots almost every week! And the last two weeks they were at GDC, but perhaps it could be a cover and they've actually been working on something this week.
I expect Minecraft 3.0, now with UFO's, Guns, the Moon, and 20 new types of pigs. If all goes well, then Mojang will include the Meat Blocks, which acts like cake.

Oh wow this is pretty cool villager sounds are played when buttons are pressed and the skin is changed to a villager. Mine turned out be a blacksmith Villager.
