Do you have any other programs running? Or maybe you have a resource-intensive redstone machine going on? I don't really know, but the internal server does tend to act up sometimes. It might also be hardware damage, so you should probably take a look at the components.
If you've had it long, clean out the air intakes and outtakes.
After you do this and if its still laggy do this
1.edit a profile
2.check JVM Arguments
3.change the number to the amount of ram u want to use like for example -Xmx8G which is 8gb ram!HOPE IT HELPS

This helped somewhat, im up to 140-170FPS now thank you
I've found NO connection between how much RAM is allocated and FPS; in fact, the Optifine thread even says this:
Lauch Minecraft with less memory (yes, really). Usually it does not need more than 350 MB and runs fine on all settings with the default texture pack. By default java allocates way too much memory (1GB) which may get swapped to disk and the overall performance may suffer a lot.
A bit of thinking should also make you realize why RAM doesn't affect FPS.
(my computer also has much lower specs (only 32 bit, 3 GB total RAM, dual core, etc) and I run fine with the above memory allocated, though my modded game needs more to avoid out of memory - no, not lower FPS, just *CRASH* - "out of memory". Ironically, when using Far with the default 1 GB allocation I've also gotten out of memory - but not with less memory allocated, this is because Java heap space is only part of the total process memory, limited to 2 GB on 32 bit machines, as seen in Task Manager)

Really? Well when I change it it affects the fps I get while playing.

My fan fiction of the game: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1957118-programmer-my-first-fan-fiction/#entry24096758

You could always raise the amount of ram!
And also wat the hell is with my title...... "The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything..."

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
Really? Well when I change it it affects the fps I get while playing.
