I played on a server with just a couple of friends and the owner turned out to be a jerk in-game. He was dedicated to building up a sweet farm and house complex, okay, no problem there. But he stole our resources and was really demanding about us helping him, ugh.
I guess the peeve is: people who try to force others to help them out. this is a game not a job.

EDIT: Something that also pushes my buttons is when people fill themselves up on cooked pork when they only have one hunger point out of their hunger bar.
Basically, I find myself thinking this while watching- "No! Torches go in slot nine, not six! Ugh, food belongs in either seven or eight, yet you have it in four! And the tools are all wrong! It's Sword, Bow, pick, axe, then spade, not spade, sword, axe, pick, bow!"
It drives me insane.

My avatar-Madison Gotha. She knows various weapons, she's a mage/sage, and is somewhat immortal. Madison has the capability of taming and communicating monsters, a genetic trait passed down by her father. 26 physically, 1400-something mentally, and a Lofty Peakian/Zenithian mix. - When people use the wrong tool (as many others have said) although if they're in a rushed situation, let's say.. an intense PvP fight than I don't mind
- When people DON'T EAT FOOD
- When an item drops and they don't pick it up
- When they are doing something that is extremely boring and provides neither good commentary nor any actual good video content and they don't even do any cuts, fast forwards, or anything.
What I hate is when I'm watching my cousin fly around in creative mode when she's bored, and when she sees a cluster of ores she says oh look! And breaks them all for no reason.
I hate the ten yr old twerps that annoy everyone else on servers.
My biggest pet peeve is people who don't know as much as me and keep being inefficent lol. Also youtubers who don't use the default texture pack, can look pretty bad.
Kinda OCD'ish, but when people will be breaking something and don't pick up the blocks. Even if they don't need them, like, KEEP THE FRICKING ENVIRONMENT CLEAN! Gawd!
While in-game: People who only cut trees up to where they can reach, and then leave the remaining 2-5 blocks of wood there. Looks ugly, and it's a total waste of resources!
While actually watching someone play Minecraft (ex. they're on your computer:) People who don't delete their worlds on your computer when a building attempt in Creative goes wrong. Before he got an account, my friend used to come over to play Minecraft on my computer, and he did this ALL. THE. TIME.
Friend: (starts a world, plays on it for 10 minutes) Eh. I think I used the wrong block for the walls of this building.
Me: Then just go into MCedit and replace the blocks. I have it on my laptop.
Friend: Nah, I think I'll just create a new world. (creates new world without deleting the old one, names it 'buildingworld 2')
Friend: (plays on world for 5 minutes) Okay... lava fountain just exploded all over the place... guess I have to start over.
Me: Seriously? How have you failed TWICE within the last 5 minutes?
Friend: (creates new world without deleting the old one, names it 'buildingworld 3')
Repeat about 3 more times
This is more of a minor thing, but still. If I forgot to delete the worlds after, it makes me confused when I want to play MC (and caused me to delete one of my survival worlds by accident.)
