For the longest time, I've been hearing people complain about he oceans being way too small. So I'd like to ask:
What is it about Minecraft oceans that makes you wish they were bigger?
What kind of gameplay are you looking for, that you cannot find in the current oceans? I'm talking about size only here, as I think there's not much to discuss in terms of oceanic content in general. I think most of us agree that oceans need more interesting content.I just like to know, because I'm starting to think that people are just trolling because it's somehow become a popular thing to complain about. Probably not true, but a curiosity nonetheless. At least as far as my own experience of oceans go.Discuss.
Well I'm trying an underwater survival challenge, and I wanted to start my base in an ocean where I couldn't see the shore even on far render distance. I challenged myself to spend only one day collecting materials before going underwater, but it took me three minecraft days to find an ocean that met my requirements. This was actually before 1.7, so I probably just got unlucky with the seed. I'm now debating trying to find a deep ocean biome to move to, since I haven't gotten that much done on my current base, but I'm worried that if I move into 1.7 chunks the oceans will be too small.

Every time you post a question without first consulting the wiki, I die a little inside.
