Hello all! I remember hearing something about an option to disable natural health regeneration in vanilla Minecraft with the most recent update. However, I don't see any relevant option in my server config file, nor do I see any kind of option in my single player settings. Does anyone know if there is a way to disable regeneration without the use of command blocks? Thanks! =]
This is one of the gamerule commands, not an option. To enable/disable it, just type "/gamerule doNaturalRegen true/false" in the chat. You will, however, need OP powers on a server or commands enabled in singleplayer to do this.
UPDATE: I was able to come up with a solution to this, in order to allow me to disable health regen in a hardcore save.
First I created a new hardcore save, then hit ESC to open the menu. Next, I hit Open to LAN, and set Allow Cheats to 'on'. I then typed in the command to disable natural health regeneration, "/gamemode naturalRegeneration false", and quit the game. After opening my hardcore save back up, it was no longer open to LAN and cheats were again turned off. When I took damage, my health no longer regenerated, even though my hunger was full.
Anyway, hope this helps anyone looking to increase the difficulty of Vanilla Minecraft! =]
