Not sure if anyone else has found out about this, but if you place down any type of rail and then place a mine cart with TNT, you can keep stacking mine cart's inside each other. This is a glitch, and I discovered it a while back. In order to get the mine carts to explode you need to either activate a redstone rail, or push them by walking behind them.
Updates:
1. They have attempted to patch this glitch by making it so you can no longer place TNT mine carts on top of each other, but you still can! Just dig 2 hole down after the rail, and place it onto the tiny piece that sticks out.
Pictures:
The mine cart's will not explode unless there is a hole they fall into, or they hit a wall. This is considered their small explosion. They have blown up a mountain if you hold it long enough.

How is that normal? Mojang already attempted to patch it, but all they did was make it harder to stack the mine carts.
And? Why do you even want to stack the mine carts in the first place? They only made it like that to lower the griefing
Not saying I want to, I was just sharing something I found. It could also help in Raid servers to gain access to a vault or claimed area.
