I know in the 1.6 that zombies can spawn zombies when they are damaged, and I like that. But isn't that supposed to be occasionally, though? Whenever I play now, I end up having a never-ending hoard of zombies rampaging through my door. I can understand and appreciate the increased level of difficulty, but when my entire night is spent fighting zombies, it seems to get repetitive and unproductive. Thoughts?
But a problem I've noticed is that their aggro range is ungodly huge. I've ran until my render distance can't pick them up, but they still pursue me, spawning gradually more and more until I have no other choice but to deal with them all or let more spawn and follow.
I like the mechanic, it's certainly challenging, although it's a tad ridiculous that they can chase you 2 biomes over.
(Incidentally, this mechanic has made all villages I've encountered on my world, practically ghost towns.)
