Hello,
Today i downgraded my minecraft to beta 1.7.3 and downloaded the old sounds using Minecraft Version Changer. I played survival mode just like i did 2 years ago. It was a really good nostalgia. I don't know why, but it felt better and simpler. It is WAY better than minecraft now. What do you think about the old minecraft? Did updates made it worse?
Edit: I also noticed that world generation was better in some way, i don't know why.
I don't find the old Minecraft better.
I tried it. It ended up feeling a bit empty. I like the new biomes we have. They added more to the game. I love the new structures we have. They make the worlds feel less empty. I love the new mobs we have. They enchance gameplay and add new challenges. I even like the current terrain generator a bit better. It has different coding for each biome, and dispite nearly removing all floating islands, is more realistic.

Did you downgrade to alpha or play on classic? He's just talking about several updates ago.

I think it's the fact that, most likely, that was your first version. I'm starting to notice that people like their first minecraft version,1.2 or beta 1.7.3 or the new players with their 1.5.2.

I'm talkin beta 1.5.
I hated alpha( i probably wouldn''t if I started in it). Classic, even worse.
To be honest, I kinda liked alpha, the minecart boosters, the non pull-back bows, etc
