What yould you consider to be the most dangerous normal hostile mob in the game? Boss mobs like Enderdragon and Wither doesn't count as they are boss mobs. Spider Jockeys are considered 2 seperate mobs, look at the wiki: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Spider_Jockey
Heres some hostile mobs to think about:
Ghast: Can fly and shoot fireballs at you, which explode and cover the area with napalm, which burns forever on the netherrack, and leaves a crater. Plus loot usually falls into lava or fire. Annoying when you try to mine glowstone, especially over lava. At least you can try to bat the fireballs back.
Blaze: Without fire-resistance potion, these fellas can go through your health quicky, as the fireballs ignore armor. They also fly, and hurt you upon contact, even with the potion, and their fireballs are hard to dodge, as they often spawn with 2-4 at once, and shoot 3 burst mode. Fireballs can't be hit back.
Cave spider: These things are the nightmares of mineshafts, as their small, fast, pounces on you, spawns in groups, venomous, and ignores cobwebs. So they attack you while you try to wrestle your way through the webs.
Silverfish: Even smaller than cave spiders, but don't let their size fool you, as if you hit them wrong, well, you are in for a fight. Appears from blocks or spawner, if you smack them, their buddies would spawn and attack you, and as you hit them, more and more would show up. Only drops EXP.
Creepers: Explodes, and does a lot of damage, both player and terrain. When supercharged, they can level a house in a single go, or do major damage at the very least.
Spiders: Rather fast, and pounces on you as it attacks and climb walls. But can be easily seen at night due to glowing eyes.
Skeletons: Strafes you with arrows, and circles around you as you try to track it. On higher difficulties, groups of them firing volleys of arrows at your way would be deadly without armor.
Zombie: Slow, but has a large amounts of health, and can bust down wooden doors and deal moderate amounts of damage.
Enderman: Has huge amounts of health compared to other mobs, and can teleport to you, usually behind you. Teleports everytime you hit it and show up elsewhere. Only becomes hostile if looked at or hurt by you.
Slimes: Come in sizes, each does different damages, splits into more slimes, and the large variant can cream you if you don't have armor.
Magma cubes: Basically nether slimes, but even the smallest form can hurt you.
Zombie Pigmen: Attacks in groups if one of the members was attack, they can deal lots of damage with their golden swords.
Wither Skeleton: Deals the same damage as the Zombie Pigmen and combined with its high attack damage, plus the wither effect, it can be a pain to face in close combat.
Witch: Tosses potions that does negative things, and it drinks health potions when damaged. Only spawns in huts.

For the way I play it has to be the Spider. I forget to watch my back and the ground has my attention. My brain has tunnel vision. A Spider was chewing my head off and I didn't have a clue what was happening and by the time I turned around to see I died.

Blazes. Creepers are easy to kill from sprint-hitting. Zombies don't have much AI. Skeletons aren't a problem if you have some blocks for a wall or a bow. Endermen you don't have to aggro. Same goes for zombie pigmen. Ghasts can't aim. Slimes and magma cubes are just derpy. Blazes spawn in groups of 3 or 4 and light me on fire with armor-piercing fireballs...

In the overworld, I'd have to say skeleton, but Ghasts in the nether are quite awful as well.
Enderman too can be dangerous if you're not properly equipped/anger several of them.
Either Creepers, dang things blow up! Or Endermen. They teleport behind you to do damage, pretty strong, avoid arrows... I try to avoid them because 1: Don't wanna die! And 2: Endermen are my favorite mob, I don't wanna kill them ;_;
Wither skeletons. Something you seem to have forgotten about.
Thank you, added it now.

To me, skeletons. The knockback of their ranged attack is enough to keep an unarmoured player at bay, and when they form teams of 2 and more they're enough of a threat for evading them to be simpler and more convenient.
I have to admit, I am terrified of enderman. They are probably the most dangerous mob in the game as far as I'm concerned.
Approach them without pointing the cursor at their bodies, and hit their legs at a regular fast pace. With good timing you will kill them before they even manage to do the first teleport.
And if they do teleport away, take a full 360º glance as soon as you hear the teleporting sound again. You have to be fast, but it's far from impossible.
Zombie pigmen. Playing on a Hard mode server, if one of them gets to you, you better be lucky that they can't pick up items or you will be lucky to even get a block of dirt back.
