Cool idea piono, and I lay claim to Aeonology, the study of how the world changes with time. In the beginning, the world was dark, nothing but lines of text scrolling across a black screen. Chaos ruled, errors common, eating the good code. Then came one known as notch, he killed the errors and shaped the world. It was made of blocks, encouraging settlers to build. And build they did, with cities reaching the sky. But as settlers came to the land its bountiful resources grew thin. With people dying every day to the zombies, error code that had corrupted the good code of villagers, Notch had to expand the world. And so it grew, until Notch could not keep adding new things. And so grew Mojang, ruling from their seat atop the world, raining down apples one moment and implementing hunger the next. But as with all good things, along the way, there was turmoil, with a Mojangster, Jeb, overthrowing Notch and adding random stuff. this is where the world stands today, with a world, though a pixellated one, at a crossroads, being reshaped so fast that science itself cannot compete.
Ahh, the universe of fanon. Get lost in it, laugh in it, live your dream in it. Anyways, pretty cool, make more.

Can someone explain Minecraft's water physics?
Like infinite water, ect.?
Hmmmm....as for infinite water alone, I have a theory:
"Pseudo-infinite water sources" by Kyte314
When an area of water is removed from that area into a container, and in that circumstance there are at least two adjacent water sources, then the open area is filled with water, and the water levels of the area return to what they were. Why? Well, since matter cannot be created nor destroyed, only changed in form, the best assumption is that when there are water molecules colliding in an open area ( keep in mind that there must be more than one water source for one to collide with the other, hence the requirement of two or more adjacent water sources), they somehow provoke a chemical reaction with the plentiful hydrogen and oxygen molecules in the air in which the hydrogen and oxygen molecules combine into water molecules, creating water vapor, and then an exothermic reaction takes place where the newly created water vapor, as well as any already present water vapor, turns into liquid form. This then fills the empty space. Note that the surrounding area becomes warm after the reaction, and that this is not a truly infinite collection of water, it only seems to be because of Mincraftia's vast amounts of hydrogen and oxygen in it's atomosphere.
As for the rest of water's physics, I may get to later.
I'm sorry, but I actually tried putting up all theories, but it was just too difficult to keep up. If you have an idea as to how to have a multi-person conversation with the message system, then please tell me and we could make a counsel to determine such things.
umm... That sort of disregards a whole lot of what's been said, plus, you've forgotten that content has to be in Minecraft, there isn't a craft for endstone.
First of all, creepers can't be using your hormones to explode, as many people (such as me) find creepers as an easy source of gunpowder. Honestly, I find skeletons and spiders scarier, and that's really saying something.
Secondly, we can't use scientific classifications and knowledge from the real world. This is Minecraft, and things work quite a lot differently there, we are posing these theories as if we were Steves, and my "Logic Alert" posts were a bad way of saying that you were posting them as a player, rather than the person who would need to know this stuff.
Dude, another mythology post. If you guys want to add stuff like this, please make a separate thread. I know that the "science" here isn't going to make sense, but I'm trying to post these things as if there was a definite set of rules, which is really what separates a made up science system from a mythology.
OOH! I was really loving that. I'm sorry, but we don't have anything to explain what Hydrogen or Oxygen are in Minecraft, or why that would be a problem. Also, it seems to me that matter is created and destroyed all the time in Minecraft (lava incinerators) so the law of conservation of mass quite blatantly doesn't apply in this world. sorry.
Close, but no cigar.
Sorry I haven't been on in a while. I got frustrated due to a mix of lack of sleep and getting mad at people complaining so much (Also caused by my lack of sleep because I wasn't communicating clearly)
I'm back now.

Well, in accordance to my reference of gases, we could say when items are burned in lava or fire, they simply turn into gases, much like things actually do when you burn them. We can always find ways to explain things that are "infinite" to support that theory (note that we aren't taking Creative Mode into account here). Just sayin'....

That is NOT how science works. We NEVER try to find evidence to support our theory or hypothesis. Based on the evidence presented in Minecraft, a much better explanation is that the Law of Conservation of Mass does not apply in that universe.

Your brain is so powerful, it would take a state of the art computer the size of a factory to come even close to matching the processing power.
I only partially agree with you.
in this case, since it's just for fun, we CAN try to find evidence to make a theory work, but if it contradicts stuff, it just won't work. Making up stuff doesn't count either.
We NEVER try to find evidence to support our theory or hypothesis.
So should I just contact the maker's of this sign and tell them to cross out "Experiment", "Analysis", and "Conclusion"? And from now on, should we just come up withhypotheses an theories willy-nilly without testing them, and just accept that they're true? So the next time someone thinks a medicine will solve a problem, it won't need to be tested, and will go straight to the shelves of pharmacies and such?
Or whenever a new airbag design is created, it also won't need to be tested, and will be installed into many people's new cars?
Sounds like a great idea to me!

You might want to go back and read your little poster there. We scientists base our hypotheses on observation, then use more observation, obtained by testing, to attempt to DISPROVE our hypothesis. We TEST the hypothesis, we dont find evidence to support it. That is what pseudo-scientists like you do:

I'm a bit confused now, but I think I'll make a change to me statement:
We can always find ways to hypothesize explainhow things that are alsosupposedly "infinite" may actually work to supporteither prove or disprove that theory.
Better? (I'm really not so sure...the wording's a bit tricky.)
I find it quite interesting how people could form these different theories in the Minecraft Universe. I am waiting though, specially for how it is in the real world, for these theories to get disproved by an update of some form. If the theory still stands true logically and scientifically (relative to Minecraft), then I am impressed.
That's a very good point that I've been wondering a bit myself...

I'll try making the dimensionology of the end:
The testificates who found the meteor composed of the so called "End stone" also found some "Eyes of Ender" floating around the meteor, when they grabbed the mysterious eyes they felt great power, believing this power was from their gods, built the said End portal. The End portal is actually a some kind of teleporter into a small planet with semi civilized creatures called endermen, and their ruler, the Ender dragon. Endermen have very tight bonds and thus oppose all those who hurt their friends. The planet of the Endermen was once whole but a wizard (the one who started the war with the testificates) attempted to destroy the planet but was stopped and defeated by the ender dragon, however, their planet was severely destroyed and broken to pieces, some of these pieces were the ones who hit Minecraftia and was found by the testificates.
End. (pun intended)
im sorry if i went too deep and not actually creating the dimensionology of the end. anyways, enjoy =D

Here's my shot at physics: Gravity, why do most blocks float?
Well, as most physics students would know, the equation defining gravity is F(g) = M(1) x M(2) x G / R^2 or in words, the Gravitational force is equal to the Mass of object one times the mass of object two times the universal gravitational constant divided by the distance between them squared. Now, for any object to float, R^2 must be large enough to cancel out the top of the equation, or one of the masses must be so minute that any distance between the two objects practically eliminates the gravitational force. Thus, the reason why there is no gravity for the block in Minecraft is that the blocks themselves have almost no mass. The exception to this rule is Bedrock, bedrock has enough mass to give the world of Minecraft enough mass to attract Steve to the ground. This also explains how Steve can carry 2046 Cubic Meters of anything on his back. The mass of the objects in the MInecraft world do not correspond with the masses in the real world.
But what about sand and gravel? They fall to the ground? But, my theory is that they are made of a magnetic substance that is attracted to bedrock. Thus it is not Gravitational force, but the magnetic force that causes gravel and sand to fall.
Very interesting theory. I will add that, probably.Moriki, I definitely agree with Kyte314. This is "Minecraft, Who Says ***Science*** Doesn't Apply." In science we have to make sure everything we say is true, we can't go around coming up with these theories that we've never tested!

An explanation of why the world is flat:
Since the entire world is made of blocks, it would be physically impossible to have a round figure, for it would completely make Minecraftia fall out of balance, killing everyone.

Do you want a cookie? Yes:
Okay, that was great aside from your claim that endermen oppose all who attack other endermen, they don't display that, nor do they have a civilization of any kind. But I like the idea of the meteor strike, but how would it get form the End to the Overworld if they are separate dimensions?
Again, there is no support for this in Minecraft, you are treating Minecraft like the real world, and something other than what we see as gravity is what pulls Steve's down. It can't be the bedrock, because then there would be gravity attraction in the Nether upwards due to the ceiling of bedrock, and no gravity at all in the End. Plus, you've forgotten Newton's laws, I'm not going to accept theories that take information from the real world and not Minecraft, but especially if they wouldn't survive here either.
*face palm* you derp. That can't be the reason, as Minecraft is infinite in all directions, how would they find an edge to fall off of? Also, if the edge is wide enough, maybe Minecraft IS a sphere, we just can't see it because we are walking on the minuscule curve too small for us to see, much like on Earth. Also, this is applying real world science, not Minecraft logic (probably should have mentioned that first)
Oh, and Moriki. If you don't like me refusing theories that attempt to explain the Minecraft world with phenomena that has no place in Minecraft, bugger off. I do believe this isn't your thread, so stop trolling.
