Hey guys, I wondering if you can think of the scariest mobs that could be added to Minecraft. I might use some in a suggestion thread.
Sorry for making this so fast.
The zombie hoard. They roam around the map in groups of 5-15 most of them have small bits of armor and some have tools, then the leader has full iron armor with an iron sword (sometimes enchanted) then like to sack villages and raid your home at night.

Rockeater - Earth Elemental. Can move through stone and dirt as if it were air, but can "swim" upwards through it as well. Can see through solid blocks as spiders can. Must spawn inside solid blocks. Cannot attack the player without having at least half his body exposed, but his AI makes use of hit-and run tactics.
Blaze - Fire Elemental. Already exists, but in addition to normal behavior has a chance to spawn from fires that occupy 4 or more contiguous squares. Wil only spawn if there exists a square within 10 squares with a light level of 7 or less, and needs a 2x2x2 open space above the fire to spawn.
Wave - Water Elemental. Only occupies a 1x1x1 space, but all six adjacent squares are flowing water. This water spreads using the normal water physics. Can send an electric jolt to hit the player if there is a path from the Wave to the player in which every square contains water. This jolt does more damage the closer you are to the Wave, deals extra damage if you are wearing iron armor, and much more damage if you are wearing gold armor. Can fly freely up to two squares above water source blocks, as long as there is water in both the squares below it (its own water counts).
Zephyr - Air Elemental. Flying creature, occupies a 1x2x1 space, is semi-transparent. Will only spawn in the center of a 7x7x7 cube of air at light level 7 or less. Has a 90% chance not to spawn so that the air doesn't become absolutely filled with them. Flees if attacked during daylight, as Endermen. Its main attack deals only half a heart of damage (on Easy) to one and a half hearts of damage (on Hard), but knocks the Player back up to 3 to 7 blocks (depending on difficulty). Wearing Iron or Diamond armor gives a moderate reduction in the knockback distance, and wearing Gold armor gives a major reduction in the knockback distance.

Tremors, from the movie series, in deserts. Those of you who don't know about tremors...you're making me feel too old.

I do not fear using my true name, or showing my face. Not because I am arrogant, but because I am no different on screen than I am in person. In all realities, my name is Kyle.

You kinda got there first, but some kind of Deep Worm seems like exactly what this game needs to shake it up! For too long a self-sustaining underground base has been all you need to stay completely safe from any kind of mob attack, so enter the burrowing terror that feels your movement in the ground and will come eat through your walls to get you! Perfect!
"Sometimes, I just wanna give up, say 'I'm done with this mess' and go to bed. But you know what; you can't shrug off your responsibilities. You got to pull yourself up and meet the challenges head on. That's the only way you're gonna get ahead in life."
Mongolian death worms. They would create tunnels underground and try to attack you whenever you go under ground. Imagine how scary it would be when you're caving and a giant boss crashes through the wall.

I'm glad someone agrees! Haha, and I don't feel old. woo

Wait, what? Why would a mad scientist look like a zombie? O_o
I think he's not talking about Frakenstein, more about the monster he created.

Or something similar.

No but seriously, I would like to see mummies in the naturally spawned desert temples.
