I would just like to point out that just because your blocks must be placed correctly does not mean you have OCD. Minecrafters who say this likely have no idea what OCD means. This could also seriously offend people who do actually have it, a problem that makes their everyday life harder.
Just because the OCD texture pack has perfect squares everywhere does not mean you have OCD if you use it.
I feel you pain, as someone who actually has Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
I can't even stand anything to be out of place, dirty, and when I read I fold every page. No reason, just have to or it tears me up knowing it isn't.
There are other features I have but you get the main scheme of it.

I don't actually have it, but I did many years ago. I did manage to grow out of it.
When I turn on my computer, before I do anything else, I have to circle my mouse around an Icon three times, does that count as OCD?
Compulsive yes, disorder no.
To have a disorder it has to effect your life in a huge way making it unbearable.
For example, Checking your windows every night is compulsive, doing it multiple times a night makes it a disorder. (I do this every Friday night before I go to sleep, based on 25 minute intervals from the time I go to sleep, for two hours.)
For the circles it would be a disorder is it were timed and if you couldn't remember doing it, you would exit out of what you are doing and do it over.
I have OCD, and I am not offended by people stating they have OCD about aspect of this game. Anyone who does get offended by this just needs to grow up.
OCD has nothing to do with minecraft, once you catch it,you will notice it and just like me,it's not like having a symmetrical house plot means having OCD
And this thread offended OCD people more,we all know about that minecraft OCD stuffs and those stuffs are just common symmetrical problems. You shouldn't make threads discussing useless cheap topics, since i have OCD but i dont feel offended, but it might be different for others
Like any desiese it only becomes a problem when it becomes debilitating, and a threat to ones well being.
I think most people get that. It's just simpler to explain thigns by useing a commly understood behavior. Even if it is not the clinical defination. Coarse then someone will get offended.
I think we need more tolerance in the world and less getting offended.
That is another thing that aggitates me, if volume levels on anything do not end in a five or zero I will freak out, and I always know even if I wasn't in the room. My wife does that stuff just to urk me.

Disorder... Not disease... We are not sick we just think differently.

I was just saying something similar the other day.
Being OCD in Minecraft is a phrase to someone being very consistent in having every creeper crater filled in, having everything look symmetrical etc.
That reminds a bit of a person with OCD, although I am sure, having OCD is really annoying and righteous frustrating.
Because everyone stated their Obsessive Compulsion syndroms :
I must walk around every table clockwise for about 5 minutes. On a stair, I always take two steps at a time, even if it is dangerous. I am unable to sleep if I see a grammatical error and not point it out to the person who made it. Because of that, my music teacher hates me. That is only the case if the grammar error is executed in german, my native language. I also correct every error in books with a pencil, spelling error or grammatical.

Would you like to know the atomic structure of a piece of bread?
Sister has OCD, it has ruined certain aspects of her life. She is functional though, she works and is a mother to 3 boys. Married and happy but everyday is a battle for her.
When it comes to numbers most people will have preferences and will try to stick by those. Doesn't make you OCD, I like even numbers, multiples of threes and multiples of 5. When I build on MC I prefer things to be odd numbers so that I have a center, doesn't make me OCD though. It would be OCD if I had to count every block of everything built and fix things accordingly.
I have been diagnosed by a doctor to have mild OCD myself, which does not affect me negatively very much, but still makes an impact on things I do. For instance, if I brush up against, say, a wall with my right hand, I must brush up against the wall again but with my left hand. I also have the so-called "Minecraft OCD" when it comes to building things.
I don't like when people misuse the term OCD, but it doesn't irritate me too much.

Discuss?
I must say I have just laughed out loud. Don't try to be condescending untill you get your facts strait, it's a disorder kiddies!

I didn't know it could be fixed, I would love to know how you fought it, it would make my life a lot easier.

Amen to this!

Are you sure this isn't just some sort of Attention deficit disorder?
Disorder... Not disease... We are not sick we just think differently.
I've been diagnosed with a form of autism known as aspergers since I was in 7th grade. Before, they thought I had ADHD but that failed to be the case.

You think magic isn't real? Consider this: for every person, there is a sentence -- a series of words -- which has the power to destroy them.
