I know what you guys might be thinking but this isn't what it seems like. Changing usernames can be a big deal and the reason it hasn't been given much thought is because if someone was banned on many servers, they can change their username. But if every account registered gets a unique solid ID number that can never be changed, server owners can ban the user which automatically bans the ID number. Obviously this has to be implemented into server hosting software such as CraftBukkit and the regular Vanilla Minecraft. Username changing can cost like around $4.95. This would be a great way to change usernames but not abusing it to escape server bans. What do you guys think?
This would mess up a ton of stuff though. I.E. Prison server, you could be a chat mod but then all of a sudden, there is this wierd person with chat mod status (you with a name change). How would you explain this?
I really want to change my minecraft name from cursedxfxaxgx ( Don't judge me. ) to ZeeCurse =D.
I would love to hear the story of why you picked that username in the first place lol.
I said "don't judge me."
