My first criticism is obvious. The slimes have fallen and can't get up .. out of water, that is.
My second is that they spawn way too much. It's a bit crazy that on my second in-game day on a new world, I have 20 enchanting levels and I really only come outside during the day.
Here's a little picture of what it's like
It's like that, everywhere, 24/7. Kind of getting on my nerves.
Also, witch huts, has anyone else been finding every witch hut empty? As above, I recently started a swamp world and found two witch huts without witches. Seems a bit odd to me. This part is not so much a criticism as an inquiry.
Witches have a spawning problem. And.. Whatever you do, don't live in a swamp then Slimes are most annoying, after you've gotten your first.. stack or so, of sticky pistons.

I dare you to move your cursor to the green box on the bottom left of these words, and give it a click. I would give you a diamond, but I've lost it.

Did some research, turns out that witches spawn in huts like blazes and wither skeletons in nether fortresses.
The area just makes them want to spontaneously generate i guess. In any case, I defiled her place by taking her mushroom.
I like the slime spawns. They were too rare before and they don't exactly present the best of drops.
i have to agree with this.. although right before this update came out, i finished tunneling out a MASSIVE slime spawning area >.<
i also actually like their constant 'fapping' noises =P i just find it too amusing to be annoying.
the one main thing about slimes that does annoy me however, is their hitboxes. they seem to be glitched/laggy... although this could just be because i have a laggy computer

Yeah, I've noticed this too. Anyone else thinks slimes have a smaller-ish kind of hitbox now? They seem to be whacking me more than I can hit them.

Yeah. Aim for the center part of them. I like to think of it as the outer parts of a slime is just slime and thus does no damage, whereas the inner parts of a slime is its body, and thus does damage.
i find that what i usually have to do with the large slimes is essentially aim as if its a small slime hitting the very bottom center of it. sometimes that doesnt even work for me. but ofcourse, this could be due to my laggy computer.
also, ive really only noticed this with the large slimes, medium and small i can hit with no problem
They are going to have to release a patched version for this. The slimes are everywhere. That constant fapping noise is maddening. and the enhanced mob AI seems to make them more aggressive than before, as they just come up to any door or window and fap fap fap...
it's crazy. Hope Mojang reduces their spawn frequency back to normal.

Slime hitboxes are getting a fix in 1.4.3.
Slimes in swamps are awesome. Now getting fire resist potions and sticky pistons has finally become easier. It used to be the most difficult procedure in the game. If you don't like slimes in swamps, try a different biome instead.
Those slimes just spawn everywhere around the place and all you hear is that fap-sound all the time. They don't even vanish when the night is over!
Unfortunately when we started with Minecraft some years ago, we did not imagine the flatland would become such an annoying place. If we had known, we would have chosen a different area to build all our houses and village.
You might understand that we don't want to abandon everything we worked on for such a long time, do you?
However, constant spawning of slimes everywhere (and their sounds) has become a game ruining pain.
Please Mojang, return the spawn area and spawn rate of slimes back to normal.
Alternative 1: Cut spawn rate in half and let slimes 'dry out' in sunlight (just like zombies - no annoying monsters during day time).
Alternative 2: A slime_everywhere option in the server.properties file. If set to 0, slimes will only spawn underground at normal rate (as it was before the change).
I agree with you 100%. Apparently most of my main structures were located in swamp areas, although I never noticed because it just looks slightly hilly. Was never an issue until 1.4 created the Great Slime Invasion. Now it's fap-fap all day long, with them blocking rail systems, hosing up waterways, clogging tunnels. Encountering 4 or 5 of them at a time is common.
Now I am searching down biome editors to change my swamp biomes to something else, just to avoid the effin' slimes.
Please, Mojang, return this to normal. We don't need sticky piston glue THAT much!

Care to point to one? Because I can't find one.
