One of the main reasons why I like it, is because you can basically do anything you want with no rules to stop you. The game only gets boring when you let it get boring.
I like it simply because there's so much to do in it. You could build everything from a majestic castle to a metropolis from the future. And if you get bored of "plain old Minecraft," there are a multitude of maps and mods for you to use. That's why I like it

Mainly because of the freedom in the game. Most other games make your hold its hand, with the waypoints "Go here" "Get this" ect, but in Minecraft, you set your OWN goals and your OWN circumstances, and the freedom is what makes it such a good game.

If facebook, Myspage, and Twitter were all destroyed, 90% of teens would go insane. If you're one of the 10% that would be laughing at them, copy this into your signature and hope it happens.

This is exactly how I feel. I hate it when people run out of ideas and just say Minecraft isn't fun. Minecraft never gets old if you have at least a little imagination.
i like minecraft because...... well, idk, its just fun.... OH i like it because its just like real life as if you were stranded on a huge island... so what do you do??? SURVIVE of course lol
Well for one, this is a fail poll.. not even going to choose either of those.
But I will say I like playing minecraft because of it's randomness and it's open world and how you can literally touch and manupulate anything you see.
It's amazing.
Plus the life-like survival techniques you have to learn.
Hate to admit it, but I also enjoy Minecraft for it's multiplayer feature, where it's fun to be social and play along side other people and interact in the game.
This of course can sometimes be negative, depending on the people you play with.
I've been through the faction servers, I've been the best and strongest and I've gotten my butt kicked a few times as well
I've done the towny servers and was a mayor of successful, populated and beautiful cities and towns
And, of course, I've done all the things in between like HungerGames and he prison and/or drug cartel related servers...
but, lately I've fell in love with the purely vanilla, no mods or mcmmo or anything multiplayer servers.
Because there's something special to this game, it is unlike any game I've seen before. There's more to it than meets the eye, if you played it long enough I'm sure you'd understand what I mean.
Sure it is creative, unique, has many refreshing features, a good community (Yeah before you jump me on this one, no community is perfect), a consistent update cycle, many hours of entertainment and great replay value, but I don't feel that's it.
For me, this game represents and holds something that no game I before encountered does: freedom. It lets you escape the harsh nowadays world and imerce yourself in a new and exciting world where you can just let your brain loose and do whatever your mind thinks up of. Sure, that's kinda the point of sandbox games, but Minecraft does this so well somehow, I can't explain it. When you first play this game, if you give it a chance, you'll truely fall in love with it.
I guess with all that combined, I think it's safe to say that people love this game because it is simply nothing like they've seen before, it's more then just a pixelised blocky game, it's a piece of art which lets you create your own art.
Creepers weren't intentionally added to be what they are now, in an interview with Notch he said it was suppose to be a pig or a sheep but it glitched out and turned into that shape.
So they added colors and unique movements and of course it's infamous face and made it explode
That poll is bad, like, really really bad. Are you trolling?

"Sometimes, I just wanna give up, say 'I'm done with this mess' and go to bed. But you know what; you can't shrug off your responsibilities. You got to pull yourself up and meet the challenges head on. That's the only way you're gonna get ahead in life."

I really like the building part of the game.

Actually, the creeper was a pig model that failed so badly, Notch made a creature out of it.
