I think that 1.3/1.4 single player lag has made spawning obnoxious. Almost every time I exit a world and come back later, I'm in a different area from where I exited.
1st scenario- I exit the world in my first shelter. "Log back" in later, I'm a couple blocks outside the door, face-to-face with a skeleton. Oh joy.
2nd scenario- I exit in the 2nd floor of my house. Play selected world later, I'm on the roof, where a creeper happened to spawn! Well you know what happened next...
This also seems to happen when you die. I tested once by repeatedly killing myself, and each time I spawn on a completely different block.
Is this a bug of only my game, or have you guys also had spawning problems? Or am I just a noob and this is supposed to happen?
You can try sleeping in your bed for one night to reset the spawn point. If that doesn't work destroy the bed and place it again then sleep for one night.
Make sure there is a couple blocks of space above the bed.
