Hey guys I have just changed my name from AidanNC to BlueProto
Just doing this so you know who it is
Late alpha I guess, 12 of desember. Anyways, I don't see why people has this love with the early versons. Almost everything has improved ever since. (except animal spawning, but ok, I can live with that.) And people say the terrain is boring? It isnt boring but it's harder to find the cool places, that and the fact that you have to explore to find strongholds make me wanna travel alot more (and bed, they are nice) Anything more I could add to this rant? hmm ... Oh ye, back in Beta I had some cool seeds that other people had found, never found anything cool myself. Gargamel and Glasier is the stuff everyone refers to whenever they want to show something cool from back then, be creative people, show us something new- (old)
Started at 1.0.0. I saw so many videos of Minecraft (including kieshar's videos), and mod spotlights, so I tried downloading Minecraft 1.0.0 (the latest version). It was fun.

I'm still using Windows 7.
I said this. Two days later, my computer's motherboard melted down and I had to get a new one with Windows 8.
1.2.5 right before 1.3 release. Fairly new, but only took me about a week to decide to start up a server.
So far I like the frequent updates, and the API is definitely needed for mods.
As well it would be nice to see native HD texture support. Old MineCraft players seem to like the default textures, most of the new players I have ran into, the HD texture packs are a must.
It's just a private server so I can play with my friends.
It's currently a base MC server. I was running Bukkit for a while, and some plugins. However between the client/server update delay, and the fact so many patches keep coming out that break the mods... I have decided to stick with the base MC server until the API is released. Seeing as how the top item on the API JIRA seems to be automatic downloading of mods, this will help a lot when implemented.
Just as long as it's not plugged to the high heavens I approve of you owning a server.
LOL I'm glad you approve... apparently editing my message 20 times causes me to delete things I didn't mean to... it originally said survival. No cheats, no op commands, just raw game at this point.
I have several complete newbies playing, so once they get used to the base game I can load up a few mods.
Oh, fair enough. I know it's your server but personally I hate all mods, with the exception, obviously, of anti-griefing mods and spawn mods (I mean ones that let you select the world spawn, very helpful for Vechs' maps and skyblock), the only mod I've really enjoyed is the ability to spawn ender dragons in the overworld. Added a nice atmosphere to the server.
For the most part I don't do a lot of modding. I think some of the mods are good for large heavy-traffic servers. Main ones I have used in the past are things like creepers not blowing up structures, longer day/night cycles, MOTD on login... esentially things that improve the base game, but don't change any critical mechanics.
However depending on 1.4 (no API) or when the API is released I may do things like make mobs harder (already set to hard), and maybe emerald armor or something to help balance the harder mobs. Right now in a full suit of enchanted iron armor a creeper can blow up on me and not kill me, or even really pose a threat. (Yeah I know enchanted iron... new map not enough diamond yet.)
I started Minecraft at the Halloween Update, bought the game on Beta 1.2_02. I'm still kinda sad that while I was playing on my first ever world, my computer got burnt. ;_;
When did you guys start?
(Im SUCH a noob lol)

Irony in the first degree.
It's not my fault
