My friend bought me an account as a gift a while ago. This was in InDev, and he was fasinated by the game. I wasn't the same. I barely ever played it. So, my first reaction: "Meh. Why does he like this game so much?" Then, when Alpha came out, I finally found my purpose: Redstone, mob traps, complex building projects. I probably played for 35 hours in the week 1.8 came out.

I have no idea what to put here, nor do I have any idea what to make my profile pic. Ideas welcome, I suppose. Now satisfy my like *****ing hogging self and give me a little rep, please and thank you?
IIt was really fun when I played classic, then I played for hours when I downloaded minecraft but didnt get premium (Not a modded version) and then when I bought minecraft never slept
I tried the free online version (.30) and I thought that it wasn't that good. A few weeks later I looked at the current full version, and after watching some videos of it on youtube I decided to get it. Two years later and it's still the best $14 I've ever spent. I joined late september 2010, version 1.1.2_01 alpha.
Before, I wasn't interested in Minecraft, I was like, "What's the point of minecraft, I rather play mass effect 2 than this crap, with crappy graphics". Then later on I had a friend that plays minecraft, then a couple hours later I was like, "Meh, what the heck, i'll see what it was like", and I found out I had to get a premium account, so I just quit. Then 1 year after that session, I saw this game in the app store called Minecraft: Pocket Edition, and I tried the demo and it I wasn't used to the controls because it was mobile. So a week after I started getting used to the controls, I first started in creative, then I start doing survival. When I did survival, when it turned night, I was very afraid of the zombies, and I built a shelter and I was still afraid to come out. Then weeks after I started to over come my fear of the mobs, then I decided to buy minecraft pocket edition and it was awesome! Then I tried the PC, got my mom to buy it and it was awesome, and that's how I got into minecraft!
I remember being really disappointed when I found out that animals despawned (I really wanted to make a farm/ranch) and I hated sitting in my house and waiting for day to come before beds were released.
I really do love the game so much more now, lol.

My posts will always have typos and that fact will always drive me crazy.
MY first minecraft reaction Was WTF is hardcore? and i testet a hardcore world and i died
then i was thinking "this game sucks" but after some time i learned about creative and survival too i started in (pre-release) 1.2.5
The first time I saw minecraft was at my friends house; I thought, because of the graphics, that it sucked and tried not to laugh at it. Of course, that was before I realized minecraft is the best game ever.
I honestly felt overwhelmed at first, there was no real tutorial and the only source of information was from the web. I dove rite in not knowing anything died a few times until I got on my feet but once I started to understand and be able to build cool things I was hooked.
