I was watching seananners' Call of Duty videos and kept seeing the minecraft thumbnail for his videos. I figured it was just a nerdy game, but I decided that since it was seananners it had to be good. So I watched it and was intrigued. Got the game 3 months later in Beta 1.3_01
my first play was in classic (the browser one).
It didn't worked well because of the lag on my old pc, so i didn't even played for more than 5 minutes.
I don't remember how I stumbled upon it. I was the first of my friends to to become obsessed with blocks. When I started, I had more of the confused reactions. Having no instruction, nor reading anything about the game and just diving in, I had no idea what I was s'posed to do or what the point of it was. I ran around for awhile punching and placing blocks then quit and didn't touch it for awhile until one of my other friends got it and then re-infected me. Only since the adventure update and XBL release have I been so heavily addicted.
I love games with tons of freedom and creativity, and I thought the graphics were really neat.
I saw a video of a dude who accidentally burnt his house down and he opened up his chests to get his valuables out. I saw the huge variety of things in there and thought "HOLY CRAP LOOK AT ALL OF THE STUFF IN THIS GAME", then I asked my parents if I could buy something for $5 and they let me and I was happy.
The end.

Please help my idea, More World Options, get into Minecraft! All help is extremely appreciated! Thanks in advance!
I first saw it as part of a Penny Arcade comic. To which I was like, uh ok... "with wood I make sticks, and from sticks..." I just thought that it was some building game, coupled with the roller coaster that was on the website for so long, so I didn't pay much attention.
A couple months later I saw a PC gamer article where a writer was playing out an adventure, and he had included a link to X's Adventures.
I was bored so I decided to check out the videos. After the first video I was interested, after the second video I was saying to myself, "I HAVE to play this game!"
Went home that night, bought it and have not looked back since. That was Alpha Nov 2010.
I used to play with LEGOS when I was a kid, When Minecraft came up, I checked Minecraft Classic, It was fun like the old days,I bought the game , my first game mode was Survival, It was SAME SAME.
The first time i saw the game was at a friends house. I laughed so hard because i thought that there was no way he could be serious when he first showed me the game. After a few minutes when i realized that he actually was serious, i decided to try it for myself.
LOVED IT EVER SINCE! This was back in early alpha.
I first played it at my friend's house, when I got home that night I bought it. I LOVED it. I started out playing classic, and bought survival back in alpha some time.
I actually saw a replication starship enterprise on youtube and decided I wanted to play. I love massive builds but they take too long to do personally.
So I guess I've loved MC ever since I found out it existed haha. Wasn't til 1.2.5 or somewhere around there.
My friend showed me the game and told me to make a crafting table, and then left, i then spent a long time standing on my 1x1 sand tower which was surrounded by a array of thinking of what a crafting table is.
I heard a lot about Minecraft, at that time it was during the Alpha Stage, I then decided to watch some Youtube videos about it to see if the game was worth trying out.
I remember seeing the video about Minecraft and I wasn't too interested about it at that point of time. I could not really see what the fuss was about.
Then, I remember downloading the game, just to try it out and I got hooked into the game. At first, I was a little put off by the graphics, but now I've gotten used to it. I also watched PaulSoarsJr's Minecraft survival series and that completely got me into playing Minecraft. I was intrigued by the fact that you could do so much things in Minecraft.
A YouTuber I liked made a video of himself playing it, and I thought it looked pretty cool actually. He was showing off some of his redstone skills, and I got very curious. I ended up trying the classic and buying the game in the same day, cost me about $13. This was alpha 1.2.3. No regrets!!
