I think the arrangement of "Dimensions" goes like this.
First, in space, circling around the earth is a broken-down asteroid colony, called "The End".
Then there's Earth. Earth is the overworld, of course.
Under the earth is the void, where, upon surviving the immense gravitational pull, you'd have a chance on landing on the shell of the earth's core. This is the nether.
To the person saying, why doesn't the end have bedrock, think about how the end is just a large floating rock, really. Bedrock wouldn't make a whole lot of sense there.
The end seems more like a space thing.
You see, the Overworld is this growth on the back of a giant space turtle, and the nether is it's insides. The end is that thing orbiting around it. The void is just the space between the shell and the insides.
Under the bedrock, beneath the void, the previous version of Minecraft is there. The same with below that, and below that, and so on. Above the Overworld, the Testificate name for the world generated by the current version of Minecraft, far above the Sky Void, is the next version of Minecraft, which Steve, Testificate, and Herobrine alike can't access until the mighty Mojang usher in a new age of time (Update)

Aw man I could have found out there was this glitch on the do what ever server where you just fell.........but you never die.all I saw was the void but I don't go very far mabey 200 blocks?
What is beyond the void? The end of the chunk rendering, duh. Went flying the other day in creative mode and hit the render glitch boundary. It crashed. The entire world. Irreparably.
But in the interest of being creative there's a time portal to 2161 and I get to see the founding of the UFP... JK
Maybe beyond the point of the void, there is a land of the oppisites, where the oppisites of everything in Minecraft life, but the oppistie of the oppisite cannot enter the oppisite world. So then the oppisite entering the oppisite world sees only darkness for a billion miles, and until it dies, it falls for forever, maybe that's what's beyond the void, we'll never know!
At the center of Minecraftia there is the top of the Nether above the Nether Bedrock, this is the true surface of the minecraft moon. Then you travel through that into the core of the Nether where lava and fire is born and ghasts haunt the minds of the pigmen for eternity. Then as you pass down through the lava lake you reach the bottom bedrock of the nether, heated as so to glow yellow and hence makes the minecraft sun.
As you pass through the surface of Minecraftia's sun you enter a region of void that slowely converts to air as you pass through layer 256. Then there are the extreme hills, grass, then stone, ores and overworld bedrock.
If you hack your way through this bedrock you again fall into the void of the gap between worlds, steve dies...
...If however you fought your way to the center of the strongholds of the Endermen, and used their creepy eyes to open a portal to a co-ordinate somewhere in the void you can travel out to an End world in the void...
The only difference to the image...Hypercubes, not concentric spheres....
Ender porn.
