I guess I'd go back to the ol' fifa/call of duty games of the year.... etc games that pop out
I don't think any other game like minecraft (except franchise games like mario/pokemon/cod/fifa) can keep me as entertained as
much as MC has done so...... almost 2 yrs and I can say I'm learning new things up until today (redstone)
It amazes me how many people said that they barely ever play the game anymore and only browse the forums... When minecraft dies out, I will go back to my lonely life of Super Mario...
no kidding
I know I wouldn't visit the forums of a game I don't play anymore, what for? the discussion is of a game I don't play!? it makes no sense to me
People are saying that even if updates stop, they'll still play. Ridiculous. Look at Terraria. Redigit announced there won't be any more updates, and the forums went barren. Barren. There was dedicated players, skilled modders, amazing builders. And they all stopped. There was no replayability anymore. I suspect the same will happen to Minecraft eventually. Why should it not?

Love is like a talking pony. First you're like "Oh cool, a talking pony,". But then the pony turns nasty and hurts your feelings. So you take drugs to get along with the pony.
I'll play Blockland v9,001 and TF2 v8,000,000 on my vastly powerful supercomputer while making sure my robotic assistants are still functioning.
Har, har. Yet another example of the wonderful culture this game seems to attract.
That aside, what reason would anyone have to suspect that the game will die-out? I personally see Minecraft as a living game... Sure, the graphics and gameplay, UI, etc. will change and adapt to things through time, but the general game will remain and only get better if the source is ever released. Some of the updates will be great, and others, not so much, but overall, there's no reason to suspect that the game will ever "die."
Some of you guys remind me of those people who want entire TV shows to end just because they didn't get what they wanted in a couple episodes...

Except Minecraft has a chance if they get the API out. Mods will be plentiful, and some will be better than updates.
Minecraft will probably survive as one of those old cult games for quite a while. The last match of Halo 2 ended over a month after Microsoft decided to drop Xbox Live for the original Xbox.
I have 170+ games on Steam plus dozens of non-steam games, and a disposable income.... I'll be fine if that were to happen.
And for those who can stomach single player, there'll always be mods.

Due to redstone ore's amount of drops, you can easily use redstone in survival.

Check out my new game, Legends of Aekran!

But if the MCF shuts down......
