"Girl" skins (nothing wrong with girls) they use almost the EXACT SAME PATTERN FOR EVERY SINGLE ONE!
/sideye
Well, thank you for assuring us that there's "nothing" wrong with being what we are. *sighs heavily*
Your less-than-elegant wording aside, yes, female skins are very monotonous and limited. Giant bug eyes? Check. Long (preferably blonde) hair? Check. Palest skin color short of white-white? Check. Shorts? Check. Hoodie, tank top or drop-shoulder top? Check. Flower in hair or handband? Check. PINK?????? CHECK!!!!
Because we know all women Minecrafters everywhere love all those things and want to be all those things, because we're brain-dead clones.
(If I come across as a very irascible person it's because I've been fighting against, among a delightfully abundant variety of sexist and misogynist garbage, being crammed into this kind of individuality-denying, suffocating box in every bleeping area of life for over 40 years. Add to that, as a teacher, nearly everyday I have to explain to little kids that colors don't have gender so no, "pink is not a girl color--it's just red mixed with white"--I really hate this world sometimes.)
I use the Lara Croft skin from minecraftskin.net, which I edited so the eyes would be normal sized (for skins) and a different color. It's one of *two* not-custom female skins I could find that didn't completely fall into the above pattern (although allowances for the tank top as it's fitting for Lara and it's not bleeping pink). I'd ask for a custom skins but !) I fear people who do free custom skins wouldn't listen to my request and would just give me a stereotypical female skin because that seems all anyone can make, and 2) honestly, I'd pretty much ask for everything the Lara skin is, so why bother.
I'm going to use this as an excuse to post a selfie. You're welcome:

Lois: Together we can do anything: face any foe, overcome any obstacle.
Peter: Yeah, climb any mountain, rent any video, dial any phone. And not just our phone, Lois, other people's phones. Decent phones, God-fearing phones, phones that everybody else gave up on, but we knew better because we were a team!
Brian: What the hell are you talking about?
I hate hate hate all of the overused skins that pretty much everyone else has said before. If you go to skin making websites, all you ever see in the 'recent' or 'popular' tabs is that headphones guy and creepy-eye girls. I really bugs me when all of my friends say that they suck so much at pixel art that they won't even bother with making a skin! I wasn't very good at pixel art at first either, but after making skins for myself over the years I got substantially better. Meanwhile my friends are still using the creepy 2x2 eye girls while I have made myself a shaded outfit that suits me. Sure, my skin might not be the most original, as in the hair, but absolutely everything else I have drawn myself, and it makes me proud when I wear it on servers. I don't care if it's the most popular or whatever, it's mine.
Actually, yours looks pretty normal. The eyes aren't placed one pixel above the chin, so you're obviously not trying to be the cutest thing alive.
So if the eyes are one pixel above the chin, the user of that skin is trying too hard to be cute, but if the eyes are two pixels above the chin, then it's just "obvious" that they're not trying to be "the cutest thing alive"?
I hope you guys don't really go around forming opinions and judging others' intentions like that over someone's skin.
But I don't know if my skin is overused. Yes, it has the eyes that are 1 pixel above the chin, because when I try making the eyes higher, it just looks ugly, but I wasn't trying to make it look super cute.
Tell me what I should change.

First 2 skins - skin with a jacket and a scarf.
Next 2 images - Skin with a simple short sleved shirt
teenagers in hoodies, youtuber skins, steve, herobrine, mobs in suits, slenderman, and a trollface in a suit really tick me off.
Mine is a robotic creeper (not any that you would see, cuz I made it from scratch and I am the only one that has ever, and ever will use it.)this is it

I think that's actually a rather awesome skin idea. Props to you for it.
Personally, I take a base skin (just a detailed skin tone) and make my skins custom on top of that. It's not that difficult, especially with the proper tools. I really like my current skin, which is just me, wearing an outfit I sometimes wear. I used the same base skin trick for this one.
An example of my skin and the base skin are below.

Is that usually the norm or something? At least a few opinions have put forth without swearing in this topic. I missed it if it happened, anyway.

- ihascupquake
- invisabul skins { pvp killers }
- 2x2 eyed girl skins

Hi! I like shorts! They're comfy and easy to wear!
+ =
I'm also tired of youtuber skins (especially SkyDoesMinecraft) and typical girl skins, they all look the same.

That's all that matters. If you like it, feel free to use it. Don't worry about reassurance or acceptance for your skin choice.
