I was rude, I apologize, I have been getting annoyed easily on here lately. One reason is this stupid update.
Also your other points were made, That is why I only quoted this part.
Again my bad, no reason to call you out.
Hey, it's okay. I understand. I too am tired of all of these complain threads. Its like everytime I log in all I see are these threads. I'm just doing my best to keep people informed. And really, the community seems to complain about every upcoming feature. It gets implemented, then everyone realizes that "Hey, this really is a good feature", except for a select few (I refuse to say that 'The End' was a good feature, but hey some people like it.) Everyone just has to realize that Mojang is being really great to us. Every feature has been optional up to this point. They could have implemented villages, strongholds, and nether fortresses without the option to turn it off. I feel that most people should go off the philosophy "If you don't like it, don't use it!"
Cheers, (and don't feel bad for calling me out, if you didn't wouldnt have re-read up on how the new server implementation works.)

This doesn't mean that I'm not playing minecraft anymore. I'm never updating. And many of you should consider this.
My first vision of the game minecraft was amazing. I played and played for what seemed like days. I tried to survive, and even make a diamond block. Minecraft was an amazing game for me. The community was nice, the updates were great, up until now. Ever since _jeb took over the development of minecraft, things are getting bad. The original idea of minecraft has just been flushed down the toilet. Now I do not mean to be a troll with the following sentences. Please don't hate me for saying this, but minecraft is getting to the stage where it practically sucks! The original idea of minecraft was to survive in your own world. You could mine, you could smelt, you could craft, and you could build. Now, minecraft has been taken to a new idea which makes minecraft steal the ideas from terarria. I can't believe the things that _Jeb has done to literally f**k minecraft.
You can still mine, you can still smelt, you can still craft, and you can still build. What the **** are you whining about?
He is adding modding support, which I don't agree to. Minecraft was never about modding, and about a year ago, few would make mods. They would create mods that allowed you to cheat, like TooManyItems (Beta 1.2) and Single Player Commands (A. 1.2.6). Those inventory editor programs became popular with the cheaters of minecraft. Although there have been those mods that just ruin the game, there were some mods that were good (Aether, EvilMinecraft, Tale of Kingdoms, MoCreatures, etc.). Now most of those mods are not even being updated anymore. The best mods were total conversions of minecraft. I don't like _jeb's Idea of being able to make mods. Modding was never a part of minecraft, and never should be one of the main ideas of minecraft. I'm not saying that making minecraft mods is bad, I'm just saying that the modding shouldn't be a big part of minecraft.
I'm not a mod user because I don't really care about those, but I do know that calling mod makers and mod users cheaters won't endear you to them... You're on the right track to make enemies in here buddy...
Another thing is the adventuring. Minecraft started out as a game where you build and create things. I think that adding the sword and mobs were enough, but notch and _jeb just didn't make the right decisions about minecraft. Now we have to actually beat the game! I don't like having to go on a big journey just to beat the game. Ravines were enough. With all of the new features of minecraft, it seems that notch or _Jeb were hinting a story about minecraft with the features. It makes sense for there to be mysterious wells, NPC villages, isolated strongholds, and even a disk that may have given a hint about Herobrine (The disk named 11) to be part of a story. We don't want any stories about minecraft. Most (like me) just want to stay with the ability to survive, craft, and build. With all of this adventure stuff, I'm not surprised if minecraft suddenly turns into terraria!
While I'll agree that some of the addition to the game are not awesome, or even good for that matter (I'm looking at you half-assed End!), none of those are actually imposed on you. You like mining, smelting, crafting, and building? Well you can still do that without ever setting foot in a stronghold or the End.
One of my last reasons is the multiplayer functions. Now we need a minecraft server to play singleplayer. Sort of like gmod, minecraft server and singleplayer is pretty much the same thing. I don't want this. Believe it or not, with the fact that there is no such thing as singleplayer anymore means that minecraft just took down many mods. Mods like T.M.I and S.P.C or any other mod that counts on the minecraft singleplayer jar is gone. There is no way to make a mod like T.M.I in singleplayer because T.M.I has some functions in the mp version and the sp version. With there being no more singleplayer, the functions will be raped. You can also be disconnected from a SINGLE PLAYER WORLD! That is why I'm never updating minecraft again. If people want to start a protest about minecraft, I will automatically support that.
So you were bitching about how mods were cheating earlier and how mod users were cheaters, and now you ***** about mods disappearing (which they won't btw). Dafuq? Do you have ADD or some ****? Or is it some pathetic attempt at cajoling the modders whom you already have insulted earlier?
Now, don't yell at me. Don't flame me. Don't ban me or ridicule me, because I have a point. Minecraft was good from the beginning to 1.2.5. I have a point. Minecraft is at it's final stage of being popular
Well, you're sort of asking to get yelled at, flamed, and ridiculed. Sadly, I don't have the ability to ban your sorry whiny butthurt alphag ass, thus making this forum a better place for all... You also don't have a point; your post is full of missinformation and contradictions. This is not having a point; it's called being an idiot.
I don't get all the complaining. It's the same basic game with things that have been added to it that you don't even need to use. As for "never upgrading again", I'm not joining you in this crusade, I love the game and want to see it keep going. And for it losing it's popularity, Scientology wishes it had that many people joining every day. I'm not going to argue that you don't have a right to make a statement, just that your points aren't valid ones. As for me sending hate your way. Why? It's just a game.
There are mods that can change the version you play on. You no like updates? You download mod, choose version of choice, play that version and keep rants to self. :3
I am quite amused that the OP says that Minecraft should never be modded, says that cheat mods are bad, then says some mods are good, complains that the cheat mods will be broken... and on top of all of that, is a modder himself.
But the thing is, in minecraft all the new features are optional.
Don't want to go to the end? Don't.
Don't want to go into villages? Walk pas them.
Don't want to use potions? Don't make a brewing stand.
etc.

note: Then I mention a group of people in my posts, i mean the majority of information i have seen from that group, and my statement may not be accurate for every individual in that group.
Interesting...
To be honest, I don't care how long you've played or who you are (not specific but general) but I do care what the point being made is. I love this game. I love the creativity, and the differences in each and every map (even when they suck). But to disagree with the OP, I like the end dragon- yet I don't care about it and never bother with it. I like 'adventure', I run around more than I mine or set up farms. Those are just bonuses. I love creating houses, and elaborate traps and passageways. (I'm working on a new maze thing at the moment that should be up in a couple weeks )
But I do hate this singleplayer is multiplayer for two reasons. One: My singleplayer worlds are MINE. I'm not inviting you to come play on them, I have them for ME. MINEcraft. Mine. (Greedy face). The second: If I want to play with my friends, I will- A friend of mine in school has a server set up that I play on now and then. Third (Forgive me- This one's important too): LAG and STARTING the "server" in singleplayer. There's a noticeable lag difference. I have a very nice home computer, and I'm already allocating quite a bit of my 8g of ram and processor to Minecraft (overkill ftw). Even in school the game runs fine, although I use optifine in school to make it nicer. But even on my home computer, I cannot 'start' a server 2 out of 3 times. This is crap. And at school, in which I have to play offline, it's not possible at all. Jeb, Notch (and the rest) I love you guys for what you've done, but this is bull.
TL;DR?
1) Server is laggy and buggy to start (in singleplayer)
2) Great game. Terrible direction that it's going in.
3) Singleplayer is singular. Get this server stuff out of singleplayer. It's bad, yucky, and just crap.
"The original idea of minecraft was to survive in your own world. You could mine, you could smelt, you could craft, and you could build. Now, minecraft has been taken to a new idea which makes minecraft steal the ideas from terarria. I can't believe the things that _Jeb has done to literally f**k minecraft." you obviously dont know much. Notch meant it to be a game about creating and building not surviving initially. That part was added later. Therefore those "cheats" are actually in the spirit of the game
But I do hate this singleplayer is multiplayer for two reasons. One: My singleplayer worlds are MINE. I'm not inviting you to come play on them, I have them for ME. MINEcraft. Mine. (Greedy face).
Which is why no one will be able to play on your server unless you manually add their name to a whitelist and allow them to join. Isolation FTW!
The second: If I want to play with my friends, I will- A friend of mine in school has a server set up that I play on now and then.
And you'll still have that, except now, presumably, you could invite your friend to visit your world at some point to check it out.
Third (Forgive me- This one's important too): LAG and STARTING the "server" in singleplayer. There's a noticeable lag difference. I have a very nice home computer, and I'm already allocating quite a bit of my 8g of ram and processor to Minecraft (overkill ftw). It's been said in this VERY USEFUL THREAD that it shouldn't lag your computer any more than normal as long as you're alone. It'll just be doing what it normally does. It's also been said that it'll lag your computer pretty bad, but that because of this, optimization will likely be put on top priority, and that the update shouldn't be released with the lag issues.
And at school, in which I have to play offline, it's not possible at all. Jeb, Notch (and the rest) I love you guys for what you've done, but this is bull.
The server will run anyways, you don't have to be online. Hence, even more singleplayer joy!
This is being done to help with code production and add the OPTION OPTION OPTION OPTION of hosting other people in your worlds! I'm personally ALL FOR THIS, since I've always wanted to show off my world to a friend. Most likely, I'll keep it Single player most of the time, but I'd let someone in occasionally to give a tour or something.
I think there should be more of these threads. Mainly because i agree. I miss the old chests and old terrain and lighting too. I wish i can go back to beta WITHOUT MCNOSTALGIA! So the more of these threads i see, the more notch and jeb realize there mistakes.

Ah, I remember whan that read "Minecraft was good from the beginning to 1.7 Beta."
