If you read the posts in this thrread, you'd see you can join a server, then get banned 10 seconds later for a retarded reason, being nice has nothing to do with it.
I was kicked one time for not talking to one of the mods.
He assumed I was a griefer when I logged back in I said I wasn't and he apologized at least.
I left about 2 hours after that wasn't worth it server.
Another server I got banned right at log in.
From the 2 seconds of chat I got to read they were under attack by a griefer group, and
instantly assumed I was one.
So I see this guy griefing on the server I play, ask him why he griefed, he leaves.
Rejoins 3 minutes later, and I follow in vanish, after a few things more griefed, I ask again, he stops and says "Alright, you caught me, I am from aVo."
So I screw with him for a bit, and then ban him, message:
/ban pakerzfan1234 "aVo! Let me join you! I really wanna go get pizza with your girlfriends!"
To be completely honest, we have had ICanHasGrief come on our server, Pazeone joined, looked at the plugins, then spammed himself leaving.
I banned him. Done and done. Our server is too protected with hawkeye and serversave.
If it is a building or two, rollback. If its bad enough, backup. Easy.

I joined on a server that just got a new admin then they got greifed by aVo, and they reset the map so I wasnt a member any more, and when I join, the new admin is all like. "OMG?!?!!??! MORE! !"
1. Planting 2 trees within 20 blocks of each other
2. Building a mob grinder
3. Increase of speed (Sprinting and jumping to increase speed, Building an elevator and getting "Kicked for moving to fast/flying")
4. Using tnt to mine out areas of a cave under my house. (Dumb admin thought I was griefing...)
5. Looking at "/plugins"
I use to play on this server with my friend and his older brother (we built a house together) and for some reason they made my friends brother an admin and he put himself on creative and blew up this whole town. He got banned and so did my friend and I for "Living in the same house as a traitor".
I got banned cause i logged on to the server the ban message was GET THE F OFF TO MANY PEOPLE ON SERVER!!! Before i got banned only 5 guys on the server. :/
me and my friend were laying a server, we killed everyone we saw and stole their stuff and then the admins tried to kill us, failed. . . then i destroyed my own house which i made .. and then i get ban while my friend roamed around using tnt on all houses and got banned when everything was destroyed. why use pvp in a serv when you're not allowed to kill anyone xD?
And lol, i was once on a factions server, raided the admins and then got banned. They had more power than land.... Pfft
I was on a GREIFING server. I found a nice house and started to greif it. But, it turned out to be an admin house. I got banned for greifing a 'masterpeice'
My friend got banned from a server for asking what SOPA was. After about 15 minutes of just saying how it sucked and never defined it, they banned him for trolling.
I never play on servers. do you have any good servers?

On topic: The Ban Hammer Has spoken. Well I was saying how this guy called the founder doesnt know anything about plugins and shouldnt be staff. Then he goes in all out rage mode and bans me. Luckily the owner is nice and unbanned me.
Banned on e.mc-hg.com because they want to make money from you paying to unban. My mate did nothing and got banned for 24 hours and was given the option to pay for unban.

I warn for caps a lot on the server I am a mod on, but for one word, and then permaban? wow lol
