81 years? I find that very unlikely. I think it would take around 40 more years, taking into account the 2 years he's spent walking there already. Of course, I might be wrong. It's been a while since he last pressed f3, so if he was 5% of the way there about a year ago, he should be about 10% of the way there now, which means that the Far Lands would be about 20 years away.
Does it really matter if he does get there? I would rather him never get there and keep raising money for Child's play Charity, than to get to The Farlands. I havent watched any since FLOBathon, so i'm not really up to date.
I highly doubt he'll just stop his Child's play Charity because he reached the far lands. If anything, he'll do another FLOB type thing to continue the charity.
I don't think he'll reach it and I am certain he has thought about quitting already. Obviously he likes talking about different things during the run, however with the calculations running into several years then it will likely not happen. He will eventually move on to something else, the farlands were meant to not be reached, hence the distance so the possibility for me of him getting there is almost none. If I am wrong then he literally deserves all the subs on youtube. That's just insane

Indeed!
If he did 1 hour episodes he wolud reach them in about three years. I think.

Would you like to know the atomic structure of a piece of bread?
2,000+ episodes and over 800 hours of continuous walking, I doubt he will ever truly make it. But, as long as his progress goes towards charity, it's great in my opinion.

BWG4 brings back Far Lands and allows you to play with features from Beta 1.8 to Release 1.5.1. Kurtjmac could have been level 80 by then.
You can't sprint in Beta 1.7.3. Sprinting cuts down the time taken to reach the Far Lands by half.
1. It's a mod, he is strictly against mods in FloB.
2. He would have to bother with hunger, endermen and other 1.8 annoyances. Most importantly, the new terrain sucks.
3. His wolf would be less lively with the new AI.
4. Playing in an old version is... unique, and gives a special feel.
Holy crap, I remember watching one of those Far Lands or Bust episodes nearly two years ago. He's not even a fraction of the way to the end yet? My gosh.

he's certainly over 10%, possibly even as far as 12%

"Walking to the Far Lands without cheats or mods!"
That's part of the series, getting there in vanilla Minecraft. He's an ironman, he'll get there eventually. FOR GREAT JUSTICE.

Also, that would almost be like cheating. Real men walk.

Any mods that add mechs? Or cyborg implants?
Yep. Still going.
