So, with all the talk of a future update where you will really be playing online with other people even on single player I have got concerned. I don't want to have other buildings or basically any other tampering with my worlds and game.
What I have done is with the last update. I'm downloading as many mods and texture packs and everything that I want and making a back up. I back up every update anyway but not generally with all other files I want like texture packs and mods ect..
I want to be prepared so when that update hits i'm done updating. I will Just keep that version of MC and always play offline mode form that day on.
I imagine I will give it a try. But I want to make sure that I will have no problem playing this game offline and without any other players. For me I just like the lone ranger MC where I and a few villagers exist.
Are any of you concerned about the new single player aspect that they are going to implement?
Well, I don't see how backing up Jar files and different versions of MC is a waste of time. Also, after reading about the new update they plan to implement, it appears that they are trying to do away with the single player aspect.
You will still be able to play offline, and with no internet. It simply adds the option to let other players join your world if you want them to. You won't need a constant connect, you have to worry about people randomly joining your world.
People seem to be having a hard time understanding this. The single player game does not become online until somebody joins you in your world. There are several games that do this on the consoles with co-op. Burnout Paradise being the first I can remember.
If you don't invite anybody then it's not "online". If you have no connection you can't invite anyone; but, you won't need one to play alone.
