The only problem I see with strongholds is the insane amount of holes in the wall and a couple torches not lighting properly, unless you're seeing something I'm not.
I think you have that switched around.
BBCode Render failed due to reaching MaxNestingDepth(80) for Tag: spoiler
I mean there is nothing to do in them. There is no reason to go to the end and strongholds are empty. There is really no reason to explore them, mainly because the enderpearl goes right over the end portal. They both feel like an unfinished project...
Right, the emptiness.
I will agree on the enderpearl part as well. What Jeb should do is make stronghold entrance reach to the surface and code it so enderpearls only guide you to the entrance.
snapshots are not meant for modders to jump it, its a snapshot, a sort of preview of what will come for the next patch, THEN will modders move.
I think he's implying that, what with the snapshots, its hard to determine the actual release of the update itself.
Any "decent" AI would come along by 1.6 if that were the case.
No, the point of a snapshot is to see if the users like the content that is planned to be added and to fix the bugs with the new features in the snapshot before they get added into the game.
Edit: There would be no point of having a snapshot if they could add the stuff in the snapshot to the game. It would be a lot better to add the new features in a update that did not give you a change log then release a snapshot because then you would have to find the new features on your own it and it would be a lot more fun.
Players will never be as godly as devs. Then again, I never cared for celebrities in a game which pvp is more based on chance than skill...
But he sucks at maintaining the project. As soon as he began to make money, he slowed down development. Do you remember those month-long periods where notch "took a vacation" or "Decided to visit his mother"? Jeb has only taken vacations when Notch decides that Mojang as a whole should.
Jeb was the one who added pistons to minecraft. you know, the things that made adventure maps more than jumping puzzles and combination locks? Yeah, that was jeb who took the idea from the mod and implemented it.
Jeb also introduced the new smooth-lighting to the game. Jeb is the one who implements mods, while Notch shied away and worked on maps and finding new ways to break treeleaf decay. And Jeb is the one who fixes the bug that Notch is stuck on for days in 5 minutes flat.
Jeb is consistantly adding MULTIPLE content updates to minecraft EVERY WEEK. That wasn't possible when Notch was still sitting on MC.
Let's not forget Jon, though. Jon was hired, out of thousands of applicants, as the best programmer there was. If you watched the Mojam livestream, Jon was just cruising through the code like an experienced speed-eater would devour hotdogs. Jon is much better at coding than Jeb.
Jeb is also more daring. He added cats to the game, just for those cat-lovers. He added badass jungles. Notch approves of what Jeb is doing.
I want Jeb to stay, is what I'm saying.
Zezima? the runescape player with massive free time and killed people trying to go to the wilderness (since theres many monsters that are only there)
Why is a person who spends all day playing a game with bad story, MASSSIVE grind fests (worse then WoW) and a horrible economy, a almost god of internet?
Runescape was a game thats just a top down version of the awesome games the elder scrolls mixed with the horrible game of WOW (guild wars 1/2, only good mmorpg games ever made because they dont like grinding)
u mean the iron golem farms? the ones that require getting 15 bloody villages in a small room (if u want to save space, it also has to be FLOATING) then figure out where the iron golems spawn next to room, then set up stuff arround it then make a water trap.
Bloody hell, id be less work to just mine the iron.
Or u could kill the golems, massively dammaging ur weapons and still taking ages to kill them.
Deal with it, itd be easier NOT to farm golems
What.
In alpha, just forget about it.
In beta (1.8 notwithstanding), there was a MAIN VERSION update about every month. This does NOT include the bugfixes.
In gold, there has been an update every 2 months with only ONE bugfix version.
The pre-releases are suppose to be bug testing versions for impatient people.
I loved the 1.8.1 update. I don't see why so many people hate it. Hunger was a great addition, because it makes the game more challenging, but when Jeb and Dinnerbone came along, things became easier and easier. With all of the new features being added, the game gets easier. They don't really do anything to balance it out. Sure, they tried to make mobs harder, but it's still not enough. The client server merge also made some mobs really OP, so you can't hit them like you used to be able to.
