I was playing around with potions today whilst pretending to be an alchemist, and I thought: "Man, I love roast beef sandwiches." I also thought: "Wouldn't it be cool if I could complete challenges and ascend through different ranks of alchemy?" Have you ever thought that? Probably not, but it's a cool idea anyway, right?

Install and play with a mod that adds wizardry or magic (Such as Equivalent Exchange) and a mod that lets you write in books.
I usually shy away from alchemy in games, but it would be pretty cool if there were built in ranks. Maybe I would brew alot more...
Oh, and you seem to like bumping threads, feel free to bump mine :tongue.gif:
Do you have any suggestions on what the special branches should be?
Well, I'm really tired, but I was thinking of the two alchemist branches, which could be combined for Obsessive Alchemist. Perhaps a underground base/tower combo with a secret passage between the two, whole stacks of every type of potion, rows upon rows of brewing stands, the Shelves mod to display your potion ingredients and finished work, a 'write in books' mod to scribble notes in...
That sort of thing.
Though I'd go easy on the modding, as some players would rather play without, and I wouldn't want to make a challenge like this inaccessible to them ... even though they could just not play the challenge, I guess.

GENERATION 26: The first time you see this, copy it into your sig on any forum and add 1 to the generation. Social experiment.
Maybe stress less specific tasks, and more creative ones. Instead of 'kill x amount of things', and 'make x amount of potions/bottles', maybe stress things like 'create a unique alchemy room'. Your chart says I would be a Wannabe Alchemist because haven't made a useless cauldron. However, I would basically be a Master/Dark Alchemist, except for the pesky cualdrons and mass producing potions.
tl;dr
Stress creativity, not mass producing and killing monsters.

Oh, and you seem to like bumping threads, feel free to bump mine :tongue.gif:
I think the "More Ranks" should both branch off of and cross over between the specializations of the Alchemist branches.
EDIT: Bumping threads against forum rules. Thought you might want to know before someone reported you.
Nice idea!
Also, thanks for the tip.
EDIT: Do you have any suggestions on what the special branches should be?
Regardless, this challenge looks like something I might try.
My sucky base:

On another note, I am working on a new rank: Healer!
tl;dr
Stress creativity, not mass producing and killing monsters.
Technically exists.
