I know you can lure animals by holding wheat, but can you lure villagers with anything?
The reason I'm asking is, I found a village near my home base and started building it up into a larger town. I've decorated most of the houses, built town walls, etc. The problem is that a lot of the villagers have wandered off in to the desert and are now hanging around outside the walls. Is there any way to lure them back inside the town to their houses?
just kidding :tongue.gif: I had a funny incident where a butcher from my nearby village wandered 300 blocks and fell into my animal farm :biggrin.gif: he's still there...its funny cuz hes a butcher..aha
They do plan on adding more AI to them sometime soon, so until then leave them be. :wink.gif:
Better AI for them would be nice. I found one guy floating in the well because he'd wandered in and couldn't get out again. Another guy is out floating in the ocean somewhere because he wandered out there. And at least two other villagers are roaming the wilderness.
Yeah, I guess I could use a strategy I used on animals before they could be lured around. I built a 1-block wide path between fences and pushed them down the line until I got where I wanted them. I found without using some kind of guide walls, they would wander off to the side while I was trying to push them.
