Remember when you started out and could barely find coal ? The first night was hard ? I miss when Minecraft was like a mysterious place with nothing to well known, very calm and eerie, it felt like Minecraft. Now its made for little kids, or it feels like, i like being scared it gave it a thrill, just speaking my mind, a lot of people will probably give me crap about this post because i'm "trolling" or whatever you call it. I'm not whining, just simply missing the old Minecraft days...

How is it "for little kids" now? I think giant black monsters that you can't look at and teleport around the place makes it scarier.
If you mean the excitement from first playing MC... I agree. I remember turning around to see a skeleton only blocks away from. My girly yelp got a few confused looks...
Yea i miss all of this, i remember the first hold in the dirt i made to escape the monster at my first night but now i dont have the same feeling i had when i started playing, this feeling, this AMAZING feelling of ''playing a mysterious new game'',will never come back...
yeah, i back in the first alpha stage. there were these very deep cave next to my dirt castle i made. i was convinced that if i ever went down those caves, i would be stuck and die. what i would do to have those first days back...
I got online, was like WTH do I do? Then logged off. A little more than a year later it was still in alpha, I remember making ultracomplex tunnels in singleplayer. :wink.gif:
Yeah, I remember that feeling. It was a bit frustrating actually. I regretted my purchase, until my friend popped up a server. Then I slowly got good at minecraft. I learned how everything works, where things spawn, what levels yields what ores. Now Im a mine-god.
You guys need to play a different video game then. You miss when you didnt know how to play. Try dwarf fortress if you miss being lost in gameplay
playing single player all over again in a fresh 1.0.0 world
there is no spark when you first started you contantly had a wiki or a video up.
learning all the new things the game loses interest over the past two years in my opinion. it's really dull and not the same from when i started.

I see your point, that minecraft has become a bit boring, because you know what to expect.
Do you?
Are you really willing to let this game, or it's community go?
Are you?
We are all scared, more scared then ever before, because for the first time, we realized we don't know what to expect. The world has had a change of pace, anything can happen now. The end is just the beginning, and the beginning is far from the end. The comprehension of this world, this mind, is out our reach, and only time will Reveal the events ahead. Take this as a warning, this game is about to get rough. Hope you can survive.

How was the first night hard? Dig down three blocks. Put dirt block over head.
Guys, you can't say that because Minecraft wasn't finished in the first place. It's like saying a empty water bottle wasn't as good as a full water bottle. Just shuddup, and be happy.
You aren't really missing the old game -- you are missing your lack of knowledge about the game. It tends to happen with every game that people choose to play excessively.
The solution to this problem? Move onto other games and wait until some more updates come out for Minecraft or wait until Minecraft is just a distant memory, then go back and play it.

i remember when i played creative mode on 1.8.1. i spawned between extreme hills biome with desert biome separated by a river. i built my first mansion and made a quite long train system through hills. i also built a tall tower at the end of it, and i installed my first mod, Humans+ and then toomanyitems and single player commands, and finally millenaire. Somehow, i think it's a little hard to install mod on 1.0.0
I still don't have mood to make a new train system now..........
you said it

now i prefer brewing on 1.0.0
but i felt bored after i defeated enderdragon
and there is no mod can support 11w50 or 11w49
i miss you 1.8.1
Hi. Long time no see.
That was because you hadn't played it yet. Being "mysteriousness" doesn't hold up after you've played the game for a solid year.
