But, Notch controls his own life, not you... Jeb is a good man! Why not give jeb a chance? He has only work as a lead developer for about a few days maybe. I'm not a notch hater...

Give the man a break. He deserves it after everything he did for us and now he's going to do more by developing more games.

Im happy with Jeb being lead, Notch said himself he will still be helping and looking over developemt of MC.
Besides, incase you all missed it - Jeb has been helping think up/code alot of stuff for the last few months...
Notch will still give his ideas to Jeb, and Jeb has had many ideas Notch thought was great during the release of MC, when they weren't aloud to add anything.

And the title should be "I want notch back" Not WE want notch back

I don't care who's in charge as long as they keep Minecraft fun.

Notch is a waste of space, he puts out the worst ideas (apart from minecraft itself) and even then its buggy and half assed. At least with jeb his first priorities are to fix bugs not to leave it and create new objects that are even more buggy. Even notch admitted that Jeb (Jeb_ for those idiots that dont know who i mean) is a better developer, and in fact he is.

Actually im not to bad at coding, i just have no inspiration to create a game, if i got offered a job at mojang i would most likely take it. Minecraft development style? They put out pre releases to stop these bugs from being implemented into the game and yet 1.0 still had most of the bugs from pre release 1.9, dont blame the coding blame the coder.

Jeb has done more in a few days then what notch has done in a few weeks.

I'd like to see Jeb completely throwing things around. Notch has done a fantastic job creating MineCraft and launching it as the final version, but this is an opportunity for Jeb to prove his worth. What types of features will he introduce that Notch couldn't/wouldn't? Can he push MineCraft to the next level?

Notch is great but he became uninterested, unfortunaly. Let him make another (awesome) game and let Jeb take over.

He's more open minded instead of having a set thing on his head. See his progress on the recent snapshot builds. Things that we've been asking for months, and executed perfectly.

Don't get me wrong, I love Notch too but he's only creative enough to make the basis for a game. Not to finish it.

Well...I personally believe that both Notch and Jeb are excellent developers, and have done a might good job on Minecraft. Jed has proven that he can handle the task of lead developer, the latest pre releases can be a testament to this.

Notch did however, hint about a new project he was gonna work on, so we should wait and see what this new project is all about

somewhere in the middle, although slightly leaning towards Jeb

No, we don't want Notch back, so don't make such assertions when you have no idea how we actually feel.

I sure think its ok for Jeb to take over, But I would like to know Notch is still high up in the developmet.As many have said before, the reason we know Minecraft is special during development, is because we know its not some guy in a cubicle. :| Hes a friendly public player, and he made it in the first place. Hes been with the minecraft development the whole time yet no one cares that the guy who gave you the wonderful game, isn't giving it to you anymore. Its like a baby being fed by his dad, then a hobo comes in and feeds you, not the same. I hope this next game is good enough to make up for having a hobo feed me HIS food :| :blink.gif:

I have nothing against Jeb. But I do believe he is working WAY too fast for my liking. 1.1 just came out not too long ago and now 1.2 might be coming out in a month or so. That means for mods, they either have to update ahead of the game or wait until it's finished. Those of you who love the Aether, you know what I'm talking about.
