Quite a few people are wimpy idiots, and only a handful of people actually post well, or for that matter, according to the laws of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
And then there are those who are so bad they probably don't even deserve the right to live, but that's my opinion.

Basically just read my mind minus the 'don't even deserve the right to live' part.
I haven't had much trouble with incompetent posters, just inconsiderate ones. However, there is no shortage of syntax and spelling errors. On a side note, I must say that the minecraft community is far more creative and friendly than any other gaming community i've ever been a part of.

This. In games like Runescape and World of Warcraft, it's all about being better than the other person. Everyone's working against each other. While in Minecraft, it's about teamwork, coorperation and brotherhood.
Of course, the people who can't type may as well leave right now.
..Is mostly full of inconsiderate dickheads. But I have met the decent player now and again, and then met the player who liked to find out that he should get better insults and actually realize my username is /feminine/. And not steal my avatar.
NDF - insane
Children - annoying
Modders - geniuses

"When we release a pure bugfix update, people get VERY upset ("NOTHING CHANGED!").. Adding features gives us much happier users. But I do realize that it's only happier users in the short term." - Notch
I defianately have to agree that the creativity and freedom of expression in the Minecraft community is far superior to that of most other gaming communities. As far as the people, it really depends on which category of the forums you primarily read. The grammar mistakes can be a bit annoying, but I find myself occasionally mess up because I'm usually on my iPad or iPhone with auto-correction and touch keyboards.
I have noticed a few "cliques" in the minecraft forums
the NDF (Notch Defense Force), as people like to call them. They love everything taht is ever added and try to shoot down any criticisms no matter whether they are thoughtful, constructive, or idiotic.
the haters. Whine and complain about everything ever done. Usually claim that older versions are better
the Elders. the people who have been around for quite a while and really know what they are talking about. They typically don't make idiotic statements or jump to conclusions very often. I feel that I fit into this category.
actual coders. Some of the Elders fit into this category as well. actual coders know how difficult it really is to code things, and usually cut the Mojang staff some slack on things. I fit into this category slightly, as I have some experience in HTML and a coding language used in a physics simulator I used to use.
trolls. Just here to stir up trouble for teh lulz
I'm sure I missed quite a few, but these are the ones I have noticed. Spambots don't count as a clique.
As far as grammatical mistakes, it doesn't usually bug me, as long as people don't use extremely awful grammar just because "it's faster." Since Minecraft has a large community, we just have to accept the fact that not everybody is the same. Anyways, in all, I think the Minecraft community is pretty good, excluding a few people.

Studies have shown that 843,902,635 people are too lazy to read this number.

What, how, what... Uhng...
You should need to pass a grammar and IQ test before getting on the internet.
More specifically the community of members on these forums.

[quote=Badgerz]You have to keep in mind that people are stupid.
[quote=Catelite]Just because you don't understand how something works, doesn't make it broken or pointless. >_<

I just got done watching that whole series yet again via Netflix instant watch
The people in the community itself? Whiny, entitled, negative, ignorant, spoiled idiots, just like 99% of the Internet.
Every time I see "Top-Notch" written on these forums...
lol, that occurred to me too. XD
I assume youre including yourself in that statement? As I do?
j/k lol
He probably means Hacckor, the spammer of discussion.
The minecraft community is great, we unite against spam, we help each other build, we explore caves with each other. For Minecraftia!
