I have been excited about some of the things that Notch said will be added into Minecraft, however there's still a great majority of things that are yet to be added. Like, look at this:
Minecraft is supposedly still being updated, even after the 1.0.0 release, correct? And, some of the things on the list have been there since the alpha stages of Minecraft, which includes, but is not limited to, double wielding, wool regrowth on sheep and cocoa bean trees/bushes. I even remember when, at one point, there was apple trees added to the list, but that isn't there anymore, so I'm guessing that Notch must have blew it off or something.
So, my question is, are these features (which some of them, as I said, have been on that list for over a year) ever going to be added? I'm not trying to hound or nag or troll or anything like that, it's just that I've been looking forward to some of those features for well over six months now and I think it's about time I said something.
I hope so >_< There are some things that were planned that are actually pretty needed. Like cocoa bean and apple trees/bushes. Apples are . . . a rarity, and the severe drain on gold it takes to make a golden apple on the off-chance you even find an apple is too large in comparison to the benefits.
And no, I doubt all of those features will make it in. It's the WIKI, editable and maintained by the public. For example, I'm pretty sure the whole minecarts-as-boats things was a huge joke by Notch.
If it says that they affirmed it, then it will happen.
Actually, believe it or not, there's nothing in reality that necessarily holds people to their word

"When we release a pure bugfix update, people get VERY upset ("NOTHING CHANGED!").. Adding features gives us much happier users. But I do realize that it's only happier users in the short term." - Notch
I like all of the ideas that have been confirmed, accept for lanterns. i pretty much need torches to survive, they're easy to make, and light up all my caves. if they were ever replaced with something even a tiny bit harder to make, the anger would overwhelm me, and i would turn into a reusable charged creeper.

Thank you.
Seriously?! Holy crap! Where did you hear that from? :blink.gif:
He handed development over to Jeb
No, Notch has not handed development off to Jeb.
